Tony's Town Square or Concourse Steakhouse?

concourse... tony's was our family's most disappointing meal of many trips...

I've eaten at both, and I would definitely say Concourse. :)

Thanks for posting! I am pondering the same question.

I thought I just "decided" on Tonys for location but now.....

We tried Tonys a few years ago and it was ok- mine was good, DH so-so.

Please let us know what you decide on.

Thanks

I decided on Concourse. I just can't find many positive things said about Tony's.........Besides, We're stating at the CR and it will be more convenient! :)

Tony's was a big dissapointment for us. Definitely the worst meal we had last trip.

Tony's is my least favorite TS in WDW. We had the snottiest CM EVER there and I think the menu is very ill-suited for summer (very heavy and hot foods).

We have also eaten at both. We were very unimpressed with Tony's. The Concourse Steakhouse was a last minute choice on our Feb trip and we really enjoyed it. We are going back again in June.

I would go with concourse....

I was heavily disappointed in Tony's -- I ate there during one of the Halloween parties last year and thought the food was "eh" and price was ridiculous ... I.E. a bowl of spaghetti w/ 2 meatballs $18 or so.

I do not have an issue with spending money on food ... but when it's bland...

Other places I recommend at Disney resorts:

- California Grill
- Pinocchio's Pizza place (love the pizza and Figaro fries)
- Whispering Canyon Café (great entertainment too)
- Flaming Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom
- Le Celier at the Canada Pavilion
- Shula's Steakhouse
- Boma's breakfast buffet...

definitely Concorse! Tony's used to be good 8-10 years ago. They changed chefs and has gone way down hill. Found out they changed the supplier of thir food. We tried it again about 5 years ago and it was by far the worst meal we had ona 12 day vacation!

Pinocchio's Pizza Place? Are you talking about Village Hause (?) or is there another Pinocchio resteraunt I can skulk around outside of in search of a little face time with Gepetto?

I'm so surprised at all the negative comments about Tony's! This April I was there for the first time, based on recommendations from my sister and other DISers. We were a party of 8 for lunch and all 8 of us were very pleased with the meal and said we would return there the next time. Both the service and food were wonderful. I had the calamari and a salad. I love calamari and have had it at some very fine restaurants and I have to say Tony's was the best!

I enjoy the food at the Concourse also, but find that the restaurant is loud being in the concourse. A few years ago they served my DD(11) an alcoholic drink, by mistake. She had ordered a smootihie and they gave her an alcoholic drink instead. The manager said that the mistake should never have happened as even if server had put in the wrong order, the glasses for smoothies and alcohol are different to avaoid this mistake. DD had a glass that was reserved for alcoholic drinks so server should have noticed it. Weird thing is there was no apology. Didn't even give us the smoothie for free. But the mistake is not really a Concourse problem as it could have happened anywhere that the particular server was working.

If you want pasta, go with Tony's-the steaks are not that hot. If you want steak, go with Concourse. We like both but prefer Tony's due to its location in the MK.

I can't remember the exact name ... it's counter service next to it's a small world. In fact they have a couple window seats taht over look the ride.

:woohoo:

Yep that would be the Village Haus! I love it there. A whole room devoted to Figaro!!
