For dinner. It will be just hubby and I and I do not know which to choose. Should we go to the Contemporary or the Poly instead?

I havent had dinner at CRT, but we did eat at Tonys once a while ago and it was a bad experience.
Personally, I would go to one of the resort restaurants instead. If you like alcohol with your meal, this give you the opportunity to have a drink whereas you cant in the MK. We havent dined in the Contemporary, but Ohana and Kona Cafe in the Poly are 2 of our favorties. I dont think you can go wrong with either of those. :)

Tony's is ok for lunch, but I wouldn't suggest it as an unforgettable dinner experience.
First choice would be Ohana's at the Poly. It's FABULOUS food and the pina colada's are smooth and refreshing. I'd try to do a PS at the Castle for lunch. YOu can get some of the same entrees as dinner, but less cost. The castle is fun to do at least once.
:cool1:

We've eaten dinner both at CRT and Tony's, we liked both, but preferred the castle better. You can't beat eating in the castle;) If you're a big Lady and the Tramp fan, Tony's can be romantic too. If you want alcohol, you will have to ditch both however. We've eaten dinner at CA Grill and didn't have a good experience there, although we seem to be in the minority there. We haven't tried 'Ohana yet. HTH:)

I've never been to Tony's but I loved eating in the castle (I liked the atmosphere more than the food). We tried to get PS's there for our last trip but no luck. Ohana's is not romantic at all. In the Contemporary, Cali Grill is nice - good food and great view.

We just got back from a trip in December. We ate at all four!

Between Tony's and the Castle, I'd pick the Castle. For the Tony's is expensive for dinner, almost as much as for what you'd pay at CRT anyway. But both have very good food!

As for Poly and CR, we ate at Kona's and thought the food was FANTASTIC!!! The best kept secret of WDW, IMO. We didn't eat at Ohana's, but it gets great reviews too, especially if you're a big meat eater. I loved the CA Grill, we got a window seat durring Wishes, which helped.

Of the four, Kona's is the least expensive, if $$$ is a concern.

Really, you can't go wrong with any of the choices! So don't worry to much about it!

If you're looking for something truly special, I wouldn't suggest eating at Tony's Town Square. We went for a late lunch and asked for a seat outside to watch the parade (also because it was too crowded inside), which gave us a pretty good view, but the food was only mediocre.
There are plenty of other places to eat that are more romantic, if it's just hubby and you. If you are up for it (aka the pricier option), I would suggest private dining...the "Romance Package"...through the Grand Floridian. You can dine in a secluded/romantic area at the resort (or on the Grand I yacht, which is pricey) with a customized meal for the two of you, all served butler-style. It would definitely be an evening you won't soon forget. Call Private Dining at the Grand Floridian and they can help you create the perfect evening (I can't find the direct number just now, but if you call the Grand Floridian main phone, I'm sure they can give it to you or connect you...407-824-3000).
Good luck! :D

Great Idea on the GF. We really do not like "fancy" meals. All of the nicer dining places seem to have very little that we would like on the menu. We will only be there for 3 nights so we are limited on time. We are doing the dining package, but we were planing on buying one dinner anyway. We don't mind spending the money, but we did not like the menus at the other places. We will look into that!

Tony's = :crazy2: I'll never eat there again!

Haven't eaten at the castle but plan to try. If you want a special experience you should eat at one of the resorts or an Epcot WS restaurant. MK has the weakest sit down resturants in WDW, IMHO.

We have eaten dinner at both. We like Tony's Town Square, but LOVED Cinderella's Royal Table. The only drawback to eating at Cinderella's is that the wait to get inside can be long (or it was in our case). We had a priority seating but there was a "ceremonial" ringing of some bells and announcement of each party's name as they were being called to dinner so it took a bit longer. But well worth it! I just wish I had known about it.
