Help--DD and I are planning on going to Tony's for a light lunch (Bianca flatbread & dessert) but I'm thinking that the Plaza looks better. This will be DD's birthday trip and the only "Italian" she eats is white pizza (no tomato sauce ever!!!) She saw dessert pics with Lady & Tramp dusted on the plates with chocolate powder (do they still do this) and had to eat at Tony's. Any opinions? Thanks so much :goodvibes

Plaza is sooo good!!!!!!! I would say go there but it is DD bday and if she has her heart set on Tonys then I would go there but I still think Plaza would be best.

We like Tony's, but we love Plaza. I don't know if they still do the dessert pics. We prefer lunch at Tony's--portions are smaller and service not as rushed or non existent. At Plaza, DD could get one of their terrific ice cream desserts. DH and I just shared the Hot Fudge Sundae last week and were fighting over the hot fudge at the bottom of the bowl. :rotfl2:

do you have to do ADR for the plaza? what's it like?

I would highly recommend an ADR. As more and more people are finding it, it has become quiet popular. It is right around the corner from the ice cream shop off Main Street at MK. It is an old victorian type room. They serve salads and sandwiches; portions are huge and come with german potato salad or french fries; they have terrific shakes and even better desserts. DH and I like to go here for a change of pace from all the "heavy" meals we eat at other table service restaurants. We have always had friendly, great service, and the food is excellent (over the years we've had the reuben, burgers, turkey club, plaza club, grilled chicken--never a bad meal).

I have always had a better experience at Plaza. I ate at Tony's last fall and wasn't impressed.

Now I used to love Tony's, but I think that Plaza is so much better. Great sandwiches and sundays...the milkshakes are outstanding. Great location and so cute inside...that is my choice over and over.

I've never been to Plaza but have heard great things about it - only complaint that i've heard is that the menu may be a bit limited.

I'm not a big fan of Tony's and I LOVE italian food. I went 2 years ago and thought it was very good, but then went again last year and thought it went way downhill. Pasta sauce tasted like it came from a jar.

So I'd say Plaza!

I prefer the Plaza, and I wouldn't eat any food that Disney tries to pass off as being Italian. Tony's might be alright if you enjoy mediocre chain Italian restaurants.
