Tony's? How come not much about it?

Until the "meatball" thread, I don't remember hearing much about this restaurant. Any reviews out there? we have eaten at just about every TS in the parks, guess I had thought this was a CS...

Who's been here, and how was it?

We love Tony's! A lot of people think it's over priced bad spaghetti, and if you're used to Olive Garden and expecting similar, you would probably think that. BUT, if you remember you are at Disney, enjoy the atmosphere, be adventurous and eat something other than spaghetti, you can have a fabulous, memorable time.

We went a year or so ago. It's not bad. The wait can be long and the food is ok. It reminded me of a frozen Stouffers dinner. Our family prefers restaurants located outside the parks - at the WDW hotels. We think the food and service is much better.

Although it got less than stellar reviews in our guidebook, I thought it was a good meal and a very nice atmosphere- we ate outside on the patio. The quality was rated 3 stars, but the value only 2. It is a little expensive, but not outrageous by Disney standards. I had a 14oz NY strip -I think this was about $22. It was very good. They serve a type of flatbread with a homemade garlicky marinara style dipping sauce. Soups and salads are add ons if I remember correctly. I also had the calamari for an app. It was a nice sized portion for sharing b/w up to 4 people and went wel with teh complementary bread served. I ordered a pumpkin creme brulee for dessert- which I regretted only after tasting the chocolate dessert my DH had. All in all a good but not fabulous meal. We were on the DP and I think it was probably the best choice for us for TS in MK.

I can't speak for dinner but I have had lunch there a couple of times. It was still nice but nothing spectacular. It was nice to just sit for while.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. First time there was in 2003 when it was just DH and myself. Then in 2004 we had 10 of us there, me, DH, DS, DD, DDbestfriend, DN, DNgirlfriend, DMIL, DFIL, DSIL. The service and food was wonderful. We went again in 2005 with just 4 of us. Again great food and service. We will be going back there again in November. I have only had the NY Strip and the Eggplant something. The calamari appetizer is very good also. Just thinking about it makes me wish we were there right now.

We used to LOVE Tony's for breakfast! So good and so reasonable. We were so sad to hear that they stopped serving breakfast. We still have their breakfast menu from ten years ago! We've never been for dinner before, but we're going to try it in October.

We ate there in June for the first time in several years. Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their meals. The spaghetti and meatballs was a very large portion. DS had chicken Parm (not on the menu but always an option), DH had the steak, I had Eggplant Risotto - very good, but it seemed like eggplant parm with spaghetti to me. They did have some type of complimentary appetizer which they gladly refilled for us (don't know if that happens everytime, or if they were trying out a new menu option, but all the tables around us had it). Can't remember what others had.
Not my favorite place to eat, but certainly a good meal. I was glad we tried it again.

I've always liked Tony's, but the last time I was there the food wasn't as warm as I would have liked. The restaurant was freezing too. I know restaurants are normally cold, but this was way worse than usual. I would say the portion sizes are good, I couldn't finish mine. Our waiter was nice. A child from a family that was sitting pretty close spilled a glass of milk, the family seemed so embaresed, he was quick to make a joke about it to calm them down. The cons to the waiter was that he kept flirting with me. I would have been flatterd except for the fact that I knew I was to young for him he looked about 22, and I am 16(parents don't worry the waiters are not going to hit on your under age daughters, people generally guess my age to be 19 or 20, at school i get asked if I failed a lot), my mother was sitting right across the table from me, I am also weird and I don't really like that kind of attention from guys. He did have two other pros though, because he was hitting on me he was at the table a lot we got plenty of refils and he was the spitting image of Joaquin Phoenix.

We have always liked Tony's~some meals have been good, some just OK. They used to make the best calzones, but like many WDW restaurants, they change the menu there a lot. More often than other restaurants.

We tried Tony's last year for the first time and loved it. Picky eater, DW, loved her food. DS5 loved his food, and loved the fact that he was able to watch Lady and the Tramp while waiting to be seated.

I have to disagree.

Stouffer's spaghetti and meatballs is tasty! Tony's is just so blah.

There is absolutely nothing remarkable about the food except that it is overpriced. Olive Garden is about a block off the Disney property and has better food. Cheaper, too.

i consider Tony's one of the best kept dining secrets at disney! the food is so wonderful! the lunch is cheaper and has different stuff then the dinner menu- the wait can be long, but if you have an ADR it is only about 5 minutes from when you check in till you're seated.
