Is Hugh Jackman using a special nickname while hosting the Tonys? Or is this what you guys call him down under? :rolleyes1 :teeth:

OOPS!

*hangs head in shame*

My only excuse is that I hadn't had coffee and vegemite yet when I started the thread.

I would go back and change it....but it seems so appropriate to leave it...right?

Vegemite.....er......coffee anyone???

Yeah, we'll call him "Tony" during the Tony Awards. Besides, from the interviews he's been doing on the news here, he's got such a thick beard now, he doesn't look like Hugh Jackman.

:crazy2: Err, umm, that's okay. . . I'm full.

The local news is showing the Red Carpet for the Tonys. Not quite as exciting as for the Oscars or Golden Globes. But, I did get to see an interview with Adele Dazeem. Wow, she's become an overnite sensation since the Oscars. ;)

It's being broadcasted on the Arena Channel here. No coverage of the Red Carpet. :(

I think the Red Carpet is just NYC local. It's only airing on the local city news channel here.

I need him to take off a few more items of clothes and hop that way!

No. Don't put on another jacket!!!

All that hopping must be so hard on the knees. Ouch! :headache:

Looks like Fantasia has learnt not to scream. She sounded much more mature.

What is the significance of the hopping? Is it because he is from Australia and he likes kangaroos? Seriously...I don't follow broadway enough to know why he would hop for the opening. TIA.

And thanks for the offer but I will pass on the vegemite.

What an amazing sequence from After Midnight. I hope it opens in Melbourne at some stage.

I assume that one of the musicals on Broadway now has a hopping scene?

Hope someone answers. I'd love to know too.

I was wondering if it was a kangaroo thing too? :confused3

Patti La Belle looked good. :thumbsup2 I read she had some health complications due to her diabetes acting up.

Les Miz revival is opening in Melbourne shortly. I haven't decided if I should go see it again. This sequence is tipping the scales for me to get tix.
