tonight's meteor shower

I'm a DSLR newbie, but I'd like to try and get a few shots of the meteor shower tonight. I have a Nikon D3000. We live in the country so not too many other lights. I have a tripod. What settings should I use? The highest ISO I can get is 1600 as far as I can tell. What else?

I would start by looking at a recent thread that Mark started here. Also, recently Gdad had a thread that I will look for with similar results/settings to go off of. Good luck!!

Thank you! It turns out it was too cloudy to get anything good last night. I'm going to try for some star shots on a clear night. Thanks again for the help.
