I'm a DSLR newbie, but I'd like to try and get a few shots of the meteor shower tonight. I have a Nikon D3000. We live in the country so not too many other lights. I have a tripod. What settings should I use? The highest ISO I can get is 1600 as far as I can tell. What else?

I would start by looking at a recent thread that Mark started here. Also, recently Gdad had a thread that I will look for with similar results/settings to go off of. Good luck!! :thumbsup2

Ok, so here is the thread that Gdad had that I was thinking of.

Thank you! It turns out it was too cloudy to get anything good last night. I'm going to try for some star shots on a clear night. Thanks again for the help.
