TONIGHT - Tower of Terror Movie on Channel 5

We taped this a couple of years ago, and we dig it out just before we go back to WDW. It's not that bad, and the shots of the Hollywood Tower Hotel are good.

I watched this tonight, Not as bad as it could have been (but wont win any awards either!)

Am I right in thinking the film is based on the ride as oppose to the other way round, Or is this just a dodgy rumour I heard?

Yes, the ride was first, then came the film.
This was the first time we had watched it. After reading how the TV critics slated it, I was expecting it to be absolutely appalling. We actually enjoyed it and next time it is on I will definitely tape it so that we can watch it just before we return to WDW to get us in the mood!

I enjoyed it too, my housemate however spent the entire film making snide comments at it. It's a nasty habit of his that can get rather annoying during a film you're enjoying. I know Haunted Mansion got some terrible reviews too, anyone seen that? I spotted that the DVD goes for about £5 on ebay and wondered if it's worth buying?

In my opinion Haunted Mansion was absolutely rubbish - but then I've not enjoyed any Eddie Murphy film so I should have expected I wouldn't like it.

My DD's loved Haunted Mansion, I thought it was watchable....once only! I certainly wouldn't advise spending money on it, wait until its on TV!
