I keep hearing about the wonderful, mythic, TONGA TOAST.

Yes, Kona Cafe. Try it, you'll like it;)

It sounds so popular, I'm thinking a of making a PS call... we go in just a few days. (Away from this snow!)

On a related topic, we'll be staying at CBR and I noticed that one of their food court places also serves banana-stuffed french toast. Has anyone tried it? It's probably not as elaborate as Tonga Toast, but is it still good?

After I've read so much about Tonga Toast, my daughter and I must make the Kona Cafe one of our must trys. We are staying at the Swan. Does anyone know the best way to get to the Poly from there and what time do they serve breakfast?
Thanks

From the Swan I would take a bus to TTC and walk to the Poly or you could bus to MK and monorail to Poly.

I had the Tonga Toast for the first time in 2001. Although it was good, it was much too sweet for me and I could only eat a small portion. Its definitely large enough to share.

Agreed, Tina...it is extremely sweet for a breakfast choice. However, we were at the Poly last week and I also was curious and wanted to try it. Thankfully, I requested they go very LIGHT on the sugar, etc. and that made it much better for me. And yes, it is a very large portion and filling as well.

Although it was pretty good, don't think I'd order it again.

DH and I split it. We got an egg's benedict plate and a tonga toast plate. We each ended up with half a Tonga Toast and one egg and the sides. LOTS of food and absolutely fantastic together. The waitress said after we ordered what an excellent choice as just Tonga Toast would get too sweet. They really complimented each other. We plan on going back in June! :D

BibbidiBobbidiBoo -- My husband and I had the same things! My dd got the children's pancake plate and it was so cute -- the pancakes were plated to look like Mickey's head! It was a couple of years ago, but I still remember it.

I would go back and have it again - but I do love sweets.
