Is there any reason (other than the CS vs. TS issue) that I should go to Kona Cafe to try Tonga toast rather than just getting it at Captain Cooks?

Nope. It's the same stuff at either place. And while it's $8.99 at Kona, it's only $4.49 at Captain Cooks. :thumbsup2

That's what it looked like to me, and given I eat neither scrambled eggs nor bacon, it seemed like a no-brainer. I just worried I was missing something.

I've never had Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's, but one reason that we like to get it the Kona Cafe is because we can also get the 100% Kona press coffee pot to go with it :) If you don't care about that, and if it's the same exact thing, then Captain Cook's sounds like a good idea :)

for captn cooks. I really want to try it and would rather get it there for cheaper instead of a ts credit, is there a reason it is not listed on wdwinfo menus? thanks

It's on AllEars. :confused3

Well, if you have time go and get the tonga toast with the pressed pot coffee, just makes breakfast that much better!

:goodvibes

I hear the macadamia pancakes are awesome, the pressed pot coffee is the best I ever had, the eggs benny are wonderful and the fruit plate is great...all the fruit are ripe and yummy

Why did you have to post these pictures? Why?

MUST HAVE TONGA TOAST! MUST HAVE IT NOW!
(Is there a salivating smiley?)

Warning to OP--If (or rather I should say "when," as everyone MUST have Tonga Toast--at least once!) you do get the Tonga Toast, do not attempt to eat the whole thing yourself and then hit the MK full speed. You will not enjoy the experience.
One serving of Tonga Toast can easily feed our family of 4, and we are NOT petite eaters! :)

Agree-- this is a must share meal. Unfortunately, no one else in my family likes it. It's either too sweet or too banana-y for them. No accounting for taste I guess.

And looking at those pictures- man I need to run off to the Poly to get some tonga toast on our next trip.

OK all you experts...when one orders Tonga Toast at Kona for 8.99, does it come with anything else (i.e. that bacon in the pic)?...or is it just an a la carte serving? 8.99 seems high for just one serving of Toast.

When one orders it at Captain Jack's I assume it is just the Toast...lol...I meant Captain Cook's...I must have been thinking of Captain Jack Sparrow.

When you order it at Kona, it does come with something on the side- I think you can order bacon or sausage (see photo above). That said- I'll be ordering it at Capt Cooks on my next trip.

Where is Capt. Cooks? The toast looks yummy!!

Never mind I found it....at the Poly

can you get the macadamia pancakes at captn cooks also. I had an adr for kona for the tonga toast but I'm so using a cs for it, as the boys and I are not big breakfast eaters. We will just go there early one morning before the mk opens or on one or two or three of our down days, maybe even all four. I couldnt get anyone to go with me on our last trip, but we had to eat with leo and stitch, hello tonga toast. Does anyone know how long they serve it? Thanks Mum

Hey Amber---
as far as your location on your profile goes...me too!

Anyway, I have to say that the TT at CC is every bit as good as it is at Kona. And it is NOT toast is the normal sense, it's a giant, fluffy, crispy  stuffed French toast, definitely big enough to share.

Boy, I'm having a huge craving now. THANKS A LOT you guys! :surfweb:

I see a lot of people from NC, but not in Fayetteville. I have been living in NC for almost a year, but "the golden state" will always be my home.
