I noticed you can get Tonga Toast at the food court at the Poly. Is it the same, just as good as the one you get at Kona cafe? What is the difference?

I've wondered the same thing. Anyone know what if any difference there is?

I had it once at Kona and once in November at Captain Cooks in November. There was virtually no difference. At Kona it was served with warmed syrup, but I don't eat it with syrup anyway.

What a bargain!

We've had it from both locations as well, and we couldn't tell the difference.

What a bargain indeed! :thumbsup2

Thank everyone! I think I'll cancel my ressies at kona and opt for the less expensive option

Do you get any sides at Captain Cook? Like, bacon, for example.

Thanks!

Wow, if it's really the same, that's a great deal! You can go to the stand outside Kona and even get a cup of Kona coffee to go with it and sit outside to dine. Yum!

Is it the same size as the one at the Kona Cafe? We usually share the Tonga Toast just get an extra side of meat.

Yes, you can get it with bacon or sausage or just plain. It is served with a side of syrup in a plastic container. Didn't even need it. I had the Tonga Toast for the first time over spring break:love: . I am not even a big french toast fan (or a banana fan for that matter) but this is good stuff!

And people wonder why we insist on renting a car... it enables us to make a quick Poly run for the Tonga Toast on the way to the waterpark!

:thumbsup2

Oh this is such great news that it tastes virtually the same! I have wanted to try Tongs Toast for a coupel years noq but never have gotten to. Now that I m staying at the Poly in Oct I can't wait! I would like to run and get breakfast for the room while my mom is getting ready in the morning, and now I can have Tonga Toast to go, yay!!! :bitelip:

I think they serve it all day too. I swear I read that breakfast is served all day but don't know if true! Since we stay at the Poly, and probably will eat a counter service dinner there after relaxing at the pool won't it be cool to eat some Tonga Toast for dinner!!!!

I've had it at Kona before and it is soooo yummy. DH thinks it is just too sweet so I don't even have to share! :thumbsup2

Where is Capt'n Cooks? I know where Kona is, but I've never been to Capt'n Cooks. :)
