I would like to try Tonga toast, but is it worth a trip over to the Poly just to try it? Also someone has said it was available at AK at Rainforest Cafe, but when you look on Allears menus it says Tonga toast at Kona's is banana stuffed and at Rainforest Cafe is says its' french toast topped with syrup, strawberries, bananas, and walnuts. My other questions is: I have AlOT of PS for my May trip and hate to make more. Would it be necessary to make a PS for breakfast at either Kona's or RF for a solo? It would probably be more convenient to go to AK than the Poly, but is the food as good?

If it is worth it or not really depends on much you really want to go try it, and how much time it takes you to get there. I personally love the tonga toast @ Kona and go there almost every trip. I can't really say about RC because I never go there, as we have one here in one of our local malls, so I never want to go there at WDW. I doubt as a solo you'd have to make a PS for Kona but I'm not sure crowded the RC @AK can be for breakfast.
hth a little!

We don't really order the Tonga Toast at the Kona Cafe. However, we do visit the Kona Cafe for their wonderful breakfasts. The Macadamia Nut Pancakes, with a presspot of Kona coffee, is always worth the stop. Give it a try. :)

Loved the Tonga Toast last trip! We were staying at the Poly but I did make a PS and was glad I did. The place fills up fast and there aren't that many tables. This trip we are staying at WL and are definitely making the trip over there just for the Tonga Toast. Wouldn't miss it!

It's not called Tonga Toast but Yacht Club Gallery has something similar. My memory is it's stuffed with blueberries instead of bananas. If you're staying in the EPCOT resort area I'd go with that otherwise just to to Kona to start your MK day.

Trying it is up to you
as far as I know this is exclusive to the POLY
IMO the coffee is worth the trip... you can only get Kona coffee at the POLY and to me that is worth the trip at least once.
if you don't have PS you will not wait that long
I never make PS and waited 10 minutes at the most.
There is an easy solution Join us POLY lovers and stay for a few days :cool1:

We always make PS for Kona but if you go early you should not have much of a wait. I think the same would be true if you go late other then on a weekend. You could also make a PS from your room in the morning if you decide to go.

I think it is really rather easy to go to Kona because of the great transportation options at the Polynesian. If you're driving, just park at the TTC and walk over to the Polynesian or hop the resort monorail....you may need a PS to do that at the TTC though.

If using WDW transportation, take the bus to MK, hop the resort monorail and you'll be there in 10 minutes or so. On your way back to the MK, you might take the little launch :boat: ...lots of fun and the MK is the next stop.

I'll be spending five of my nine nights at BWV so may run over to the Yacht Club Gallery. That blueberry toast sounds good too. I have two full days planned at MK, but can't go to Konas either of those days (I have an 8:30am KTTK tour booked one day and PS at Crystal Palce at 8:25am on the other). Thank you!!

It's worth a trip to the Kona Cafe just to get the coffee after being on NesCafe for a couple of days!
