Tomorrow's the first day of school around here

I'm already seeing the games already, Kathy. My poor phone has never been used this much. My dd has the harder classes this year. Her accelerated math teacher almost had me crying when she listed all the things she'll force them to learn this year.

You think that's bad, my first born starts high school this year! Wahhh!!!!!:scared: I am so not ready for this!

My kids have 4 more weeks, they go back on the 30th. DS starts Middle school this year. DD is already saying she can't wait to go back.

My kids go back on August 30th. The public schools here don't go back until after Labor Day.

I am amazed at the wide variety of school years around the country. I thought "everyone" went back right after Labor Day.

This year we go back August 30th, so they can have week off for Presidents Day (something new this year). Orientation is the 26th.

Ours start the 16th. Yes, Texas passed a law, but lots of districts get waivers. I didn't use to care BUT, since a couple of local districts start today, dance and gymnastics and boy scouts start their school year schedules today, so it's almost like vacation is over already.

Students start Aug. 30 in my district but I am going to start getting my classroom ready next week. I leave for Colorado tomorrow and even have another WDW long weekend planned in 2 weeks.

Summer just started here in MI!

My dd would rather skip middle school and start high school.:p I'm not ready for her to be in either one.:o

We start back in a week, August 9th. Pete will be starting 2nd grade. My baby is growing up! :sad2:

DD's school starts on August 9. She is very nervous about starting a new school. She wants to start because she has no friends here, but she is afraid that no one will pay any attention to her. She is a very friendly person. I can't imagine that she will have a problem making friends. I'm just glad it is soon so she can stop worrying about it.
