Tomorrow I check in for our flights. I have flown SW once before, but we had one confirmation number then. This time I booked with points, so we have 4 separate confirmation numbers.

Of course I want to do this as efficiently as possible. I also need to do it at work. So I want a little advice. I just need to have all my confirmation numbers and the names that go with them?

Do I open 4 tabs and load in my info on each one, then when the time is right, I can just click check-in and flip right to the next tab and so on?

I had 2 confirmation numbers to check in this morning with on SWA; 4 would drive me crazy. :headache: Opened two windows, entered all the necessary information and kept hitting submit until the first one went through. In the short time it took me to click "check in" for that one and get over to the other tab, 2 numbers were already taken. But, were still As so we'll be fine. Did notice that we are high Bs for the second leg of the trip [which goes right to Orlando]. Guess families don't want to risk being separated and pay for the EBCI out of that airport.

Good luck, OP. This is not for the faint of heart.

So when you hit Check-in too early, did you have to re-enter the confirmation number and name?

Our second leg has no plane change, so I'm not sure if we even leave the plane. Someone told me you can stay on and pick new seats before the others get on?

Sorry, I was in a hurry and didn't see your second question. I'm in giddy vacation mode. :bitelip:

You have been given correct information. After all of the other passengers disembark, the Flight Attendant will ask you to stay seated until they do a headcount of the passengers remaining on the plane. After that, you are free to pick new seats. But just a little warning, many times I have done those trips where you don't get off the plane at your connection and twice we have had to change planes for one reason or another. The times it has happened to me, they let all of us get on the "new" plane before any of the other passengers.

I'm a little uptight because we are predicted to have thunderstorms late afternoon today through early tomorrow morning and my connection airport is having the same issues. I guess I can't complain. In all of my years of flying this is the first time I have had to deal with this. Hope you have a safe trip!

That's what I do! You may end up a boarding position apart but you will all get As that way!

I have 4 different conf numbers too. Thanks for tip about opening up 4 separate windows.

What I've done before is check in my confirmation first. When we get to the airport I wait in my correct area, but have the kids all wait in our last number together. I then save our seats for the kids. We always sit near the back so it's not an issue. Also, my kids are older so they know how to board a plane by themselves.

We check in on Wednesday!

:faint: Okay, you all can learn from my experience. I had 4 tabs open with info loaded and in the order I wanted to check in. (Me, kid, kid, DH) On my window, I clicked on Check-in. The internet tab had the swirly circle like it was working, so in my excitement and haste I just clicked on over to the next 3 tabs and clicked check-in. On the last one, DH's, I watched to see what it said, well, there was another button to click on that screen. So I went through each tab and clicked the button on each tab. The result, though, was that it checked in DH only on all 4 tabs.

So, after a few moments of absorbing what happened, I had to go back and re-do the other three of us and re-enter information.

The moral of the story is, don't click over to the next tab until you've clicked Check-in two times and see the boarding pass.

Anyway,
DH: A58
Me: B7
DD11: B12
DD14: B14

Not sure now what my strategy is since we got parents first and kids last- whether we'll send DH in at A58 and the rest of us stand at B14 or just stand in our respective spots or what. Not sure with low B's whether we even need to worry about it :confused3 Us parents could go first and each set a bag in a seat but I know saving seats isn't quite kosher. Might just all go at B14. They are big enough to sit by themselves but as far as sharing gum & entertainment, it would be nice to be close of course!
