Wish me luck! :D I plan to spend today digging through the attic and getting as much as I can out! (and hoping that the kids don't see all those long forgotten toys!:bounce: ). I was thinking of bringing out the cd player and playing the Soundtrack from the themeparks just to keep everyone focused on keeping the stuff from returning to the house!;)

Here's another question, do you think that magazines would sell? My DH has a stack of fishing, camping and National Geographic magazines. Maybe a quarter each?

Good luck with the sale!! Definetly sell the magazines!! I sold some back issues of miscellaneous magazines and they went very quickly (25 cents is a good price). You should have much success with the national geographics, as many people collect them. As a teacher, I myself look for magazines at yard sales that I can use in the classroom for projects. Sell whatever you don't want--you'd be amazed at what people will buy. I had great success at my garage sale a few weekends ago. Collectively, my mother and I made 476.00!! That will certainly help for my upcoming Disney trip!!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. Our community garage sale is coming up in two weeks and my hous is full of boxes of stuff to get rid of. Hopefully I'll make some spending money for our trip next month.

hope you sell a bazzilion dollars worth and get to live forever at wdw. (LOL) Lots of pixie dust weaving magic over your stuff so people will just want to pay extra high prices for good stuff you are selling. Best wishes. Let us know the big result.:Pinkbounc

Good luck tomorrow with your sale! .25 is great for magazines, we always sell a ton of them at our garage sales. I've come to the conclusion that people buy anything! :)

I only made $65. I was shocked at how dead it was. A couple other houses in the neighborhood were also having yard sales and the kids went out on their bikes to check things out. They were also dead! :( I was thinking of organizing a street wide yard sale in late Sept. I also listed some of the maternity clothes that I had out on ebay to see how they would do there. Here's hoping!:D

Sorry to hear you had a slow day. Maybe you will sell a bundle on EBAY!

Colleen A,
I had a yard sale Saturday too! and brought in just shy of $70. Not bad I figured, I didn't have that much before I started.
I might have sold more if I had advertised in the newspaper, I had only posted 4 signs in the neighborhood.

I was going to have the sale on sunday too, but I woke up to light rain. It cleared up before noon, and no one had come by earlier in the morning to ask about it, so I never set up.
