Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party????

We will be at WDW the end of May and early June. We are thinking about booking the dessert party. Anyone ever been? If so, how is the view? Will two little girls age 7 and 8 enjoy it? Thus is our 3rd trip and we'd like to try something new. Any info is a huge help!!!

We did this during our trip May, 2010 (trip report link below). The view of the fireworks display is the best imaginable and you are not fighting crowds because there is a limited amount of people at the Terrace. You are assigned a table so there is no need to get there extremely early. The dessert tables when we were there looked like this...

Your girls will really like it. Watch for TinkerBell. She flies right over the top of you!

We went in December and it was very nice. Unfortunately we were there during the big freeze and it was like a wind tunnel in there with the cold weather! But otherwise it was SO nice. You didn't have to rush, you could enjoy something to eat while waiting for the fireworks. It was covered so that if it rained, you had the best seat in the house. The view was great. I was very leary about that, but it was actually a great place to see. The desserts were delicious. And it's fun to get to your table and have your name there!

When it came time for the fireworks, people just walked up to the railing and stood there to see the fireworks.

I highly recommend it!

You can book it online now as well... where you would normally book ADRs online there's an option for "Dining Events" or something like that

They are now accepting May bookings, both on-line and by phone. Because this is a special experience, this is one of the few ressies (like HDDR) where you have to give your credit card number to book.

I think your girls will enjoy it. Don't know if this is a consideration for you or not, but the (unlimited) beverages at the Dessert Party last year did not include soda pop but did include ice-cold MILK. Not many places in WDW or anywhere else where you can get free refills on milk. Milk and cookies - how can you go wrong?

and just to note--the credit card is not just to "hold" the reservation. You are charged the full amount at the time you book the reservation.
