What's up wit the rumors I've been seeing that they may make the Tomorrowlands into Star Wars Lands

Any hint of truth to this?

Agree - I'm almost positive that's only being discussed in Disneyland (or rumored to be discussed...). The WDW Star Wars talk is all in DHS.

I read that the Tomorrowland re-theming at Disneyland will revolve around the new, upcoming Star Wars movies. The article I read was interesting to me because it focused on how imagineers may have plot details of the new Star Wars movie that they have to keep top secret, but they have to know to start designed Tomorrowland.

Reporting: I read that Tomorrowland at DL was going to be turned into Star Wars Land, complete with the WEDway turning into the Millenium Falcon (or some crap like that) but it was scrapped when Magicbands went waaaay over budget. The source that printed this believed it 100% and was so upset, and this was his reason for hating Magicbands.

My editorial: I think that's the biggest pile of bull I've ever read. I think it is more likely that there IS a monster in Loch Ness, AND that LBJ shot JFK with his own rifle, than it is that Disney would turn Tomorrow land completely into Star Wars Land. I just do not believe it.

The source you are referencing didn't say Disney was planning on completely turning DL Tomorrowland into Star Wars land. They were going to retain some of the old attractions, including the Astro Orbiter. You are correct that the plan was killed because of the financial issues Magic + is causing.
