Can't contain the secret much longer! Tomorrow we surprise the kids with a trip to Disney! They think that they will be spending school vacation week with their grandparents. Instead, we are all going to Disney! It's been so hard to keep the secret. They are going to scream when we get in the car and tell them our real destination!

I am so excited for you!! :dance3: We surprised our girls a few years ago and even though it was so hard to keep it a secret for 6 months, it was well worth the looks on their faces!! Have a wonderful time!!!! :cloud9:

That's awesome! Brought tears to my eyes just thinking about how excited they will be!

Ok, when my kids are older I'm totally going to do it! Don't know how I will keep the secret but it would be so worth it!

CONGRATS ON KEEPING THE SECRET!!

I am having a hard time with it, but so far so good - she just knows we will go back someday.

Are you doing anything special to tell them?

I just bought a stuffed Minnie to put in DDs car seat when we wake her up to drive to the airport (it will be 3 am, so that is probably all the fanfare she will be able to take).

I am SO excited for you!!

I bought them a bunch of Disney books and wrapped them up in Mickey wrapping paper to keep them occupied during the trip!

It's been hard keeping the secret. I was really close to telling them when my son came home from school today told me he was jealous of his friend going to Disney during the school vacation next week. I was so close to telling them, but I managed to keep it to myself. I told my son good things come to those who wait!

If you can hold off, You should wait until they discover you aren't headed to grandma, then act lost for a bit if you could!:grouphug: Have a really great time!!! :dance3:

YAY!!!!!! I am super excited for you! A friend of mine did this last April. They picked the kids up from school, then just started to drive. I don't remember how far they got before she spilled it, but I remember her telling me that the kids were so shocked/happy/excited!!!! You'll have to let us know what their reaction was when you get back. Have a great time!!!!

I am so excited for all of you!!! We are KOTS. This is DD4's first trip, second for DS11 and DS10. This will be our second SURPRISE trip for the kiddos. Last time we went the DS's thought we were going to their Aunt J's and DH had taken the wrong exit on the highway. They had no idea where we were until we pulled into the resort parking lot. It was so much fun watching their reactions. :goodvibes
This time we are taking the auto train. DH has put a phony travel plan in place and the kiddos are under the impression that we are going to take the train to the FL border and then drive back up toward home visting various tourist sites i.e. museums, historic sites etc. DS's have even helped to plan various stops. DH has also convinced DD that we will visit WDW when she is 7 y.o. I have been covertly making shirts for everyone and preparing all the other necessities while all are in school. It is a tricky situation as DS10 is quite the detective.:scared: As of right now we have 24 days intil we leave. I am getting so excited!:jumping1:

Have a great time!!!

I couldn't sleep last night I was so excited! I plan on keeping the secret for as long as I can today! We are picking up my son from school and starting the trip then. I don't plan on telling them until later tonight when we stop for a break and they begin to wonder why we aren't at grandma's!

This is what we are doing . We are going to my FIL's for 3 nights, then leaving to go "home". We are going to drive right into WDW, and I plan to have the video camera focused on their faces. It is soooooo hard to keep this secret! I want to tell them so bad, but I know keeping it a secret will be worth every agonizing minute I've wanted to tell them !
