Hello everyone,

with exactly 10 weeks to go until we leave the UK for 3 weeks in the U S of A I'm writing this pre-trip report, mostly for selfish reasons as I'm hoping that excitment shared is excitment halved! I'm very possibly over thinking and over planning everything!

My name is Laura and I’ll be 25 by the time we go. It’ll be the first time I’ve ever been to WDW and I’ll be going with DH Nathan (30). We went to America in October 2010 where we went to quite a few different places including Las Vegas (where we got married)

And my first taste of Disney at Disneyland CA (…it was here I decided I NEED to go to WDW!!!)

The Holiday:
4th May –Fly from Manchester to New York
4th May – 11th May - New York and Washington
11th May – 24th May – Orlando (Staying at Coronado Springs Resort)
25th May – Arrive back in Manchester and head home

We initially presumed right from the off that we’d be staying off site, then I decided to look into the cost of staying at a value resort after spending sooo much time on these forums. Then we ‘just out of interest’ looked at moderate resorts and loved the theming of CSR straight away!!! We persuaded ourselves  that with the free QSDP it was worth paying the extra to stay at CSR (…my dream resort would be Poly but at double the price of CSR I think we’re fine where we are for now!!! :woohoo:)
We have 14 day park hopper tickets and also think we’ll get the 2 day Universal park hopper with transport tickets from Dreams Unlimited. Another must-do on our list was to go to the JFK Space Centre so that’s all booked too.

I look forward to sharing more of our plans with you very soon :goodvibes

Sounds like you have some great plans. Everyone says that WDW is for kids but I think that adults can have just as good (if not better) a time.

If you have a spare evening, you and your DH should check out Jellyrolls - it is a great night out :thumbsup2

looking forward to hearing more.

Where in Vegas did you get married?

Thank you! We got married in the Little White Chapel,

we werent intending to go to get married, we booked the holiday and about 6 weeks before DH 'jokingly' said we should do it and a few days later I decided actually, we should! I was terrified of telling my mum because I knew she'd be so upset to miss it but she wasnt too bad and everyone was really supportive so it was great :D

Looking forward to hearing more... and I'm interested in your views of Coronado Springs as a first-timer, as that's where we're staying in October!

Steffi xx

The plight of the big belly... bum... thighs... face... arms... fingers...:rotfl2:

I've always been a 'pooh sized' person! Even as a little girl, when I got married I'd lost about a stone and though I was chubby for me I felt good. well... only a year and a half of happy marriage later and I'm 2 stones heavier :rolleyes1
I got out my suitcase and tried on every single thing to try to shame myself into sorting myself out and,
-I have (re-)joined the gym and had my induction on Monday, it was meant to be last week but I was off sick :sick:from work thur and fri with some sort of sickness bug that's going around
-I am following the weightwatchers plan (again)
-I hope to regularly update on my progress (i'm thinking a fortnightly weigh in)

I'm trying to realistic about what I can achieve in the 10 weeks but anythings is better than nothing! I need to feel about as guilt free as I can before I embark on my 3 week gorging fest ...I'll never learn :sad2:

Your plans sound great!
I am sure that you and DH will have a wonderful time
We will be out there at the same time, we went in May last year and it's a great time of year to go
Looking forward to counting down with you and good luck with the new gym routine :)

Sounds like a FAB trip!

I love your wedding photo :lovestruc

Looking forward to reading more. Good luck with the weight loss too, I've been losing some for my wedding in April. I had that tummy bug a couple of weeks ago, which got me to my target weight! Not recommended as a weight loss method though  All I have to do now is keep my weight at that and not put it all back on again!

I will look forward to your TR, we are hoping to go in May next year and stay at CSR.Good luck with the weight loss, I have just started ww again.

The good news is it is now only 7 and a half weeks til our holiday! the time is dwindling down so quickly now!!!
I on the otherhand have been off work sick again with this tummy bug, only 10 million times worse than last time!!! When I go back tomorrow I am going to be in the bad books! but I am feeling better
I've also dealt with actually paying for the holiday today!!! which I suppose is a necessary evil:confused3 haha

Now, to update you about our ADRs, mostly, we're not having any. I to and fro'd about upgrading from our free QSDP to standard DDP but in the end decided not to, the dinner shows etc would have been great but fancy dining isn't really our style. Plus, DH already moans about all the planning I do,neither of us would want to be 'tied down' by having to get to ADRs all the time. The only things we have booked are an evening meal at the Biergarten on the 19th (chose this day as it's the first star wars weekend and I'm sure all the parks will be packed) andwe also booked yesterday to do the wishes fireworks dessert party on our last evening on the 24th. I have a feeling I'll be all desserted-out by then to be honest but it seemed sucha nice way to end the hol

So- one thing -I've learnt from this is I'm no blogger! I havent posted in ages, though I dont suppose I'd have been able to think of much to say.

However... only 6 days to go - I can't quite believe it!

Since my last post;
-I had my 25th Birthday on Easter weekend and saw Cirque du Soleil in Manchester which I really enjoyed but probably wouldnt go to another for a while
-Got a :worship:kindle which I love love LOVE! I've already read 4 full novels in 3.5 weeks and will be taking it on hol with me!
-Eyed a small-ish Kipling bag my mum has and has never used apparently and asked her to lend it to me as my holiday bag and got to keep it:hug:
- Booked tickets for Statue of liberty and Ellis Island when we're in New York
-Bought loads of new light weight summery clothes to take with me
-Made a packing list ... and another... and another!
-Made appointments to have my hair cut/dyed next week and my nails done in shellac nail polish which lasts 3 weeks
-Lost only about 2 pounds in weight - oops
-Received my Disney pack with tickets and vouchers etc
-Saw Imelda May in Blackpool last night which was fab!!!
-Picked up some dollars in cash today and also put some on a fairfx card

Today I'm planning to print off maps and confirmation emails etc to put into a little pack! :hyper:

Wow, it's getting really close now. Happy belated Birthday. This time next week you'll be at Disney World :)

It's actually really truly and honestly here!!! I cant wait to update you all on everything from my holiday,

but for now I'll get on with experiencing it!!!

See you in 3 weeks! x
