We arrive at US tomorrow, staying at the Loews Royal Pacific. Super excited as we have never been there. It will be me and 3 teens, ages 15. 17 and 18.

We will be leaving Disney to come on over. After using Disney's FP+, I think I am most excited about using the express pass!! I really have no idea what to expect. Decided on not worrying about food- we will just go with it.

I do know that Thursday morning We will use early entry into WWOHP. Not big HP fans but have to say we saw it and did it.

My only concern is I have a backpack so I have to either find a locker or not go on the rides.:worried: are lockers plentiful and how much do they cost?

One last question about express pass- if we like a ride that uses express pass, can we use it several times or is it one and done?

I am used to charging everything to my room while at Disney. Is that available at US/IOA? We will be there Wed and Thurs and want to maximize our time!

Thank you all!!

Have a great time! Any ride that you can't take a backpack on will have free lockers available for you at the ride.

you can put your cc on file when you check in and use it for charging back to your room in the parks.
those charges will show up on your room bill.

you will not be able to charge back to your room on your check out day.

wish you a fantastic stay at the Darkside!

Staying on site means you get to use your express pass as often as you want!! Keep you express pass out because it will be scanned twice at each ride you use it for.

OMG! You will have such fun! I took my youngest kids at 15 and 16 and they had a blast. At that age, they could go to the parks on their own and re-ride faves while I had a pool afternoon. The Express Pass is great!

if you want something light for lunch, try Boulangerie in the studios.
it is on the corner across from the Lucy Tribute.

sandwiches with a slice of cantaloup, strawberry and a scoop of really good potato salad.
reasonable price.

also they have cheesecake factory deserts, so yummy!

you can sit inside or outside of this place.

at different times of the day, a singing group is outside of Lucy Tribute for you to watch and enjoy

You are going to experience something you've probably never experienced in a Disney park.....a stress free experience. With kids that age you might wear out your express passes but they will still be good and the attendants on the rides will probably get to know you. I love Disney for so many reasons but Universal blows it out of the water with the benefits you get by staying on site plus your kids will love going on actual thrill rides. Disney has a couple but Universal has more. The pools at Universal are awesome also and you can go to any of them and the kids will love Citywalk. All that they offer is very close together, your waits to get around will be minimal and if you decide to walk it might take you 10 minutes at the most. I love staying on site at Disney but I've had times where I have been on a bus for more than an hour trying to get back to my hotel from DTD, you won't have that problem at USF. Have a great trip!

Have a great trip!

This may be a great time to go, just beating out the DA chaos but perhaps still being able to see some of it. :thumbsup2

Have fun :goodvibes

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to take a minute and let you know how our day is going so far.
We checked into the RPH and it is beautiful! The kids love it and can't wait to swim tonight. Our room was ready, so after putting our stuff in our room, we headed out. We had lunch at Jake's. It was okay. The kids were starving so it was the first thing I came across.

We are in US now. Been here since maybe 1pm and it's now 4. Loving express pass!! Have ridden Despicable Me, Shrek, rip Ride, Twister and Transformers. Next up is Mummy.

Lots more to do but I just wanted to check in!!
Loving it!!

Lisa

Macraven-what is DE? I have not seen any minions to dance with.

We just walked by the new HP area. It looks so cool!! There are all kinds of park employees inside the area and I'd say 20 guests standing outside the gate, some in HP attire. Although I am not a HP fan, I am excited to see the WWOHP tomorrow morning!

Right now, the kids are on MIB. My daughter and her friend are loving it here!!

despicable me ride.
it is in the old jimmy neutron building at the studios.

i'm not a parry hotter fan either but i do enjoy those rides.
and looking forward to HE

i have to be careful on what i say about parry hotter.....
i mouthed off about the books/movies many years back and my tag location was changed to what it is now.

We did not dance with the minions but still had a great time!

We did the entire park, missing out on just a few shows. I figure we can always go back tomorrow if we want.

Kids were hungry tonight so we went to a Mexican place in City Walk. We are from Texas, so we eat a lot of Mexican food. It was good but not great.

Tomorrow we will go to IOA. Looking forward to it!!

Glad you are having a great time! How are crowds? We arrive tomorrow evening for 10 days. We are staying offsite in a condo, so no express passes, etc. We bought annual passes, so we know we will get in several more trips before they expire.

I did not think crowds were that bad but having never been, I have nothing to compare to. We had express pass and used it, but only had 2 days in the parks. WWOHP had a 120 minute wait when we got off the ride at about 9:35 this morning. I have no idea what the usual wait times are.

Overall, we enjoyed it. Wish we had more time to explore the resort. My DS, who is not a thrill ride fan, even rode the Hulk!,

We had breakfast at Three Broomsticks, so thanks to whomever recommended that.

We are now back in Disney, listening to the rain. Hoping it clears out so we can go out. Don't feel like getting wet Weather has been beautiful!

We were there today as well and got off of harry potter around that time as well. We went to the other park shortly after that because they had shorter lines over there.
