Tomart's Disneyana Guide

Is the Tomart's Disneyana Guide accurate as compared to Ebay?

For example, if something is listed as being worth $50 in Tomart's, does it generally sell for $50 on Ebay? Does the Tomart value make for a good opening bid?

I've never compared, and was wondering if anyone else has.

Tomarts is a wonderful resource for getting ideas of what pins are worth... especially in relationship to each other when it comes to trades... for instance you wouldn't want to trade a $50 pin for a $5 pin.

As far as the price being realistic.. most of the time it is not, and the pins will sell for a much cheaper value than listed. I think that with my past experience with price guides, cash market value usually falls somewhere around the 50% mark of the listed values.... of course some pins will bring a higher value than listed especially for those really true "rare" pins!

And finally ... pins are pins... have fun and collect the ones you like !
