Tom Sawyer Island

Disney's website says Tom Sawyer Island in Disneyland will open again in "summer 2017". I know that Disney sometimes considers Memorial Day weekend to be the kickoff for summer and am wondering what the chances are that Tom Sawyer Island will be open by then? We are going that weekend and I think DS would love Tom Sawyer Island.

Last I heard, it would be late June/early July when the Railroad and Tom Sawyer Island reopen. I hope it's earlier so that people going in June have some extra stuff to go see. Otherwise, July and August will be even crazier with people waiting to go and see all the refurbed attractions.

Exactly when it will open has not been announced. However Disney did announce that Guardian's will be opening that weekend and they said the River attractions would open "later" in summer. So how far later is is anyone's guess, but it won't be Memorial Day weekend.

Thanks! It's not a huge deal but that's too bad :/ We knew the 'new' TOT (it will always be TOT to me) is opening that weekend so that's kind of exciting but I'm mad they changed it and am pregnant anyway so would have to skip it. DH is excited though.

I didn't realize the railroad was still closed too. Ugh.
