Tom Morrow is back (TTA)

I am so happy to hear it's back! I was sad to think I wouldn't be hearing it this August.

YAY!!! I am so glad Tom is back. I know the current speil is more like the original but I really really liked the 2nd one!

I believe they should use all 3. As cars leave the station, the first track is played. Next time through, play #2. Then #3. If you want to hear all three, just stay on for 3 times through in the same car and you're guaranteed to get them all.

Does anyone know if there is a reason this could NOT be done? I believe the audio is all generated in the car itself, right?

Not all change is good, and the TTA was a really good example of this.

Putting the Tom Morrow spiel back into the narration validates my respect for the imagineering group and their ability and willingness to change it back.

yesssss!!!! i already prepared my family for the switch, and we were all disappointed that they changed the audio (we'll still miss the "join buzz lightyear..." which we crack up at everytime). but i'm so glad to hear it's back!!

I believe there are sensors located on the track to tell the computer when to play the track. Somebody correct the last part if it's wrong.

Quick update...and I'm sure most of you will be happy

Last night, Imagineering integrated an additional spiel on the TTA so it's not so quiet while you're in the dark inside Space Mtn now...and during a portion of that spiel, "Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow…" is BACK

I'm working on getting a vid of it so I can post it, but probably not until tomorrow (no pun intended).

Let's hope it's permanent and maybe a sign of changes to come

Now if we could see more into space mountain, that would be awesome. Rig up some two way mirrors or something...
Has anyone ridden when its under refurb or they are working on it. Twice now, I have been oN TTA and when you do the pass through around Space Mountain saw it with lights on. It was really cool to see what it looks like inside.

They must have JUST added that - I was up there Jun 3-7 and didn't hear it - I rode TTA 3 times. I even found myself saying it just as I rounded that right-hand turn towards Carousel of Progress.

It will be nice to have it back.

Well if that's the case, it should be easy to add all three plus many more. With each sensor trigger a random number is chosen and that plays the corresponding spiel. Call for some of the characters like Buzz, Stitch and Mike - add in the missing dialog - and frankly, I say do an homage to some of the past attractions... I really did try to like the new spiel. Honest! But it was just horrible. I spent the whole time on TTA missing the classic spiel (including the Tom Morrow announcement). I usually appreciate change, but in this case Disney took something great and made it plain and ordinary. May the new spiel end and the old one return ASAP.

Yay!!!! I'm so glad to hear this.

I haven't heard the new spiel so I don't know why it was so bad but I hated that Tom Morrow wasn't there.

WHAT?!!?!?!??! We we on the TTA yesterday( 6/15) 2x's, once at 6 pm or so and again at 9...didn't hear it...and as much dead air time as there is during the dark black section, we would have heard it! Kids were so bummed they were narrating it themselves. We did not hear ANY of the old narration, just the new cruddy one. The parade and fireworks are very cool tho, I like those summer changes!
