We are driving from NY down I-95 next month :yay: and are trying to figure out if we need a Sunpass. We will drive to Islands of Adventure, then to Disney. While at Disney we will leave the park some days and drive (very) locally to dinner.

My understanding is there is no cashless toll leading to and in Orlando, so the question is whether we even need the Sunpass. How many tolls should we anticipate hitting? Also, are there express lanes like they have further North where you can pay and bypass some of the traffic?

Thanks for any responses you can give!

NO NEED for Sunpass .. Pay Cash ... BUT have Quarters handy for Basket Throw In for Some Exit points

You shouldn't have any tolls at all, in Florida. If you're following Google and it sends you on a toll road detour around traffic somewhere, you will be able to pay cash. There are only a few cashless toll points in the Orlando area, and they are not anywhere near where you'll be.

Absolute worst case, if you were to hit a cashless toll, you'd just get a bill in the mail based on your license plate, with a very small service charge added on.

The main link between WDW and Universal is I-4 which does not have tolls.. Hence no need for Sunpass..
