toll free number available yet??

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think Disney should have a toll-free line, you all don't. Doesn't make either myself or you all wrong.

I thought it was funny (sort of) when I called the other day the 1407 W Disney number to pay some on our room, and make a few ADR's as well, and it said something along the line like Please stay on the line and take a short survey after your call,

I thought, you take away the toll free number, and now you want me to take a survey on my dime as well! NO!

So no one who feels that way will get to "vote" for a toll-free number. :)

I always thought that the toll-free line made the long waits more bearable!:rolleyes1

It will be harder to be so patient now.:sad2:

Well, I'm sure others will be able to comment on the actual numbers, but I was under the impression that the percentage of disboard users as compared to the number of people who visit WDW is extremely low--like less than a tenth of a percent. Probably less than .01% or even a lot lower. Which is why posting a tip like where to stand for a parade doesn't instantly invalidate the usefulness of the tip. So I don't think sharing a toll-free number on the dis is going to have that great an impact. And I'm hoping that someone will eventually share any new number that comes along. And I, too, don't like paying to wait on hold, to answer questions about how many times I've visited, or to take post-call surveys.

And my apologies to those of you who frequent this particular board---if I could get the search feature to work nicely, I would not have created a new thread. If there was a sticky about toll-free numbers, I would certainly read it.

The problem is that the Internet is viral. If the telephone number is posted in one place, it is then carried from there to a dozen other places, and then starts traveling around the Internet via email, blogs, and such.

Regardless of the significance, no responsible forum wants to become known as a source of exploitation and progenitor of abuse. If Disney had wanted the telephone number distributed by these means, rest assure that they would have posted the number themselves.
