Toll charge violation.

We used the Sun Pass facility last time: it meant that we went throught the (I think) the most left hand lane and didn't bother paying etc. and it was all charged against our CC. Seemed less hassle, and no worry over if we had chnage or not etc.

Next time, suggest you get a rental car with plate pass - taht way you are charged for each toll and you avoid violations. Budget and Dollar both have plate pass on all their rental cars out of MCO.

The original poster did rent from Dollar so this does not obviously work for all times.

Sounds like all the charges being made are coming from Dollar so that would make me suspicious too. I would contact them like other poster and ask for picture and date/time evidence.

It isn't something that is offered for standard by Dollar as we have never had it. It sounds like it is only offered to those that ask for it as many tourists will probably be only using toll roads to and from the airport.

Thanks to the many replies posted. I have asked dollar to provide further evidence to me. I will keep you informed as to what happens.

I was offert the pass in November. It was $18 per week. In total we spent about $8 so it would have bean a wast of money for us. Let us know how you get on with Dollar.

We have gone for the last 16 years and never had a problem without plate pass, any way I like throwing the money in

On leaving Sanford we got lost and had to go throuh a 25c unmanned toll.
A couple of moths later we received a letter from dollor to inform us our cc had been charged for the toll plus a $20 admin fee. I wouldn't contest it for fear of having problems at immigration on another visit.

I guess if you knew you had gone through the toll booth without paying you could not contest it, but original poster said he had not so he should contest it.

Immigration is not a problem as authorities charge the car owner and it is Dollar getting their money back which is why they charge an admin fee.

If it is not correct then query it, but if it is true then you will have to pay up.

I am not sure, did you pay it then or did you not have any change??

It is a bit of a worry, a bit naughty if they are picking on us as we dont want any hassle in future visits.

We didn't have any change, but we spoke to a local guy who was going through and he toll us not to worry as you get three chances
