Just found this interesting. We are going in June for 10 days with MYW + park hopper & DDP. We are going to be back in Orlando in March 08 for cheerleading competition and I called to ask if I can upgrade to AP once we arrive and if I do that will it affect my DDP. I was told by a very nice CM that no it won't affect my DDP. He said that since all that is required is a one day pass and I'm upgrading the 10 day it would count as my 1 day and I won't lose my DDP. I was concerned because I have to pay off the trip on the 21st and wanted to know if I needed to change my ressie or not.

no need to change anything, at least we've never had too. We always get a 1 day base and convert to AP's upon arrival. We use Guest Relations at Epcot since we are familiar with it ,but there are several where this can be done. We have always been able to have the park ticket separated out from the room key at the resort. I have read where this has been an issue for some. HTH & have a magical time:wizard:

You must be reading my mind....I was just coming here to ask a question about this same thing. I am wanting to upgrade our MYW ticket to AP while we are there in Sept. I was afraid of how this might affect our eligibility for the DDP. Thanks so much for posting this info!!!:goodvibes

I don't know if anything has changed, but my experience at EPCOT was that any upgrades to the tickets could not be done at the ticket booths if you had the dining plan--it had to be done at the customer service window all the way on the right side of the entrance. Additionally, it seemed to me that they could not do it if you had existing dining credits still on your card. When I upgraded, I had actually used all my credits already, so it was a moot point, but they seemed to think that the credits (if there were any) would not transfer over to the upgraded pass.
