According to various news it seems that Disneyland Tokyo is pretty much gone
I´m horrified by the news of the quake and tsunami and send all my best wishes to everyone impacted by this disaster.

I have seen pictures and read twitter accounts that Toyko Disneyland is ok for now, where are you seeing your news from? There is a little flooding, but where did you see that it was gone?

Yeah from accounts I've read Tokyo Disneyland is okay for the most part as are the people inside but there is flood damage especially in the parking lot.

Disneyland hit by 'liquefaction' after quake

Tokyo: The car park at Tokyo Disneyland was drenched with water-logged segments from the ground following the 8.9-magnitude earthquake that rocked Japan's Pacific coast on Friday, police said.

It was earlier reported that a tsunami might have caused the inundation but police said the phenomenon was due to liquefaction of soil caused by the intense shaking of the tremor.

There were 69,000 people at the Disneyland and the adjacent Tokyo Disney Sea, built on a landfill in Tokyo Bay, when the quake occurred, a spokesman at the local Urawa police station said.

There were no injuries or property damage reported at the theme parks, he said.

"The visitors have been evacuated to safe places but there are many puddles due to liquefaction around the theme parks," he said.

So, what is the status of Tokyo Disneyland? I've read conflicting reports. The pictures of the park don't look too bad.

This is such a heartbreaking event. I hope that all those impacted find safety soon.

No injuries, the parking lot is pretty much destroyed, and the monorail will probaby need some serious repairs.

Micechat.com had people inside reporting that the parks are mostly fine, everyone evacuated to the outside with no major problems....parks might be closed for some time making sure there's no structural problems however.
