DW and I are thinking about planning a trip to TDL, but are having trouble finding information on packages. If anyone has any information we would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if they offer packages akin to those offered by the US parks. When I went, I booked my rooms and then purchased tickets at the hotel. I spent a couple nights at one of the local onsite hotels that are not operated by Disney, and then transfered to the Mira Costa which is located right at the entrance to Tokyo Disney Sea.

Their admission passes were also different- I got a 4 day pass and I had to specify a single park for each of the first 2 days (TDL or TDS); only the last 2 days could one park hop.

I very much recommend visiting TDR if one can afford it- everything is done right there, imo. I would *love* to go back- hopefully, the budget will allow for that in a few yrs. :)

While the DIS is the BEST website in terms of WDW, there's really not much here about TDL. I would suggest that you look at http://www.jtcent.com. Joe has a really good site that covers lots about TDL. It also has links to other boards where you might be able to ask more questions.

I just moved to Yokohama, Japan about two months ago. Haven't made it to TDL yet. I'm waiting for the weather to cool down a bit. I'll be here for 1-1/2 years, so I've got some time.

PM me if do really plan to come. Maybe we can meet up!

Planecrazy4dis & I would like to thank Broadway Belle & Califlady for your informative replies. http://www.jtcent.com. was very helpful. We'll have to save up for a few years, but hopefully we'll make it out there to TDL. If we do maybe we can hook up. We'll keep you posted. Thanks again. :earseek::earsgirl:

I went a few years ago, and loved it! The Sea park wasn't open yet, but TDL was almost exactly like DL. The coolest part were the rides where the characters spoke - and it was Japenese! It surprised me (even though it shouldn't have) - guess I just never gave it much thought before going! Another interesting difference was the ticket option. You could buy a ticket that allowed you into the shows, but not on the rides. That would be good for adults who don't enjoy rides, but do enjoy the atmosphere of the Disney park. Also, there weren't tee shirts in the gift shops like there are in the Disney parks here. All in all, it was a good experience! I highly recommend going to TDL if ever you find yourself in Tokyo!

I am so jealous. I would love to go to Tokyo, let along TDL. I have a dear friend that was on the WDW International program that worked here for a year. She now works for TDL as a translator for some of the big-wigs. I'm dying to go over there and visit and have her show us around. Please, fill us in when you come back. I've watched the specials on the Travel Channel and I'm very interested in their culture.

I'm going to Epcot this weekend, I'll see if they have anything in the Japanese pavillion.
