Didn't k now where to post this one, but I live in the UK, and I am planning a trip!!! :confused3

Well has anyone from the UK done this? Who did you fly with, where did you stay, how much am I looking at spending, and how long did you go for????

Thats only the start!!

Cheers,

Rich

i'm not going to be much help for this one but my friend is going there on sunday (well flying then) she's not staying in there though.
I might be able to fill you in on more when shes back in 2 weeks though

Well I've done Paris, Orlando, and anaheim....... and I've heard amazing reviews on Disney Sea. I just think it has to be done.

The question is.... Why NOT Tokyo!!?? :confused3

I would love to go to Tokyo Disney!

Have a great trip - I'm going to move this across to Community for you :)

Would love to go to Disney Tokyo Seas, but it's along way to go without also going to Disney Hong Kong :)

Sounds wonderful, why not, seeing as you have done the others, keep us in touch if you make any plans. :thumbsup2

Would be great to do both :)

you could try trip advisor, they have forums, reviews etc.

It just seems so far away! The natives probably don't speak as much English as the Americans :rotfl: and it's soooo expensive.

From the pictures I've seen, it is beautiful, though.

well the plan is to travel 2008!! Major planning time!!

I am off to Orlando in April you see. :cool1: I hope to go there for two weeks and spend around 5 nights at the Disney Resort. I agree with the idea of going to Hong Kong, I mean its not far away. BUT I have already looked into that, and the flights are extremely pricey!! :guilty:

If anyone else is interested in doing such a trip then I'll give you a hand, but only if you help me!!!!

I agree, and HK seems like a good city to visit in it own right,

How are you managing the flight from tokyo to hong kong. I have looked all over for a reasonable price!! :confused3

Hi,

I have been to both Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea quite a few times. Infact I was there yesterday :cool1:

I travel to Japan on business quite often and when I get chance at the weekends I try to visit.

I can't help too much with flights (I just go with whoever my company travel person books me with) I do know return flights from LHR to Narita (Tokyo) with virgin are about £850 economy and as Virgin also fly to Hong Kong I imagine you should be able to get a decent flight / service for 2 of the 3 legs of the journey.

Both Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea are absolutely brilliant :cheer2: but very different to anything else in the Disney spectrum. They are very well themed and well organised.

The following link should give you much of the info you need.

Park tickets are pretty reasonable a 4 day multi day passport is £86 for an adult (17,200 yen) and £76 for a child. I would plan to spend more than 1 day in each park and be warned these parks get very and I mean very busy Friday evenings, all day Saturday and Sunday. Oh and avoid public holidays like the plague.. you will stand in-line just to go to the toilets. If you do go weekends then make maximum use of fast pass and get there an hour before opening time. Unlike WDW where crowds tend to be seasonal Tokyo Disneyland is popular all year round. I would recommend you invest time in getting to know the layouts before you go.

I don't stay onsite (I'm afraid the company won't pay) so I tend to stay in Tokyo itself, about £100 a night including breakfast. The rail network is excellent, it takes about 30 minutes from central Tokyo to Disneyland. There are 2 Disney Hotels, 5 Offical Resort hotels on site and 4 partner hotels in Tokyo.... the website above gives you all the info you need.

Japan itself isn't that expensive. You get 212 yen to £1 at the moment, so its similar value to the US. I tend to eat as the locals do and as such you can live on £20 a day food budget.

If you go all that way then you should try to do some sight seeing. Tokyo itself is not too crowded during the weekends, so you could do Disneyland on the weekdays and then when all the locals travel to Disneyland you could go and see downtown Tokyo.

If you PM me your address I can post you a copy of a Disneyland Tokyo overview map when I get back to the UK.

Any specific questions just ask :thumbsup2
