I can't figure out what's on top of you sweatshirt in the souvenir shot. All I can see is chocolate.
That's my 100% Chocolate Cafe hot chocolate! It's flakes of bar chocolate, not powder, and you mix it with about half the amount of milk you would expect, so it's super creamy and rich!
I would have had to have Mrs Potts & Chip. I have a Mrs Potts cookie jar.
Oooh - those would go together so nicely!
Everything is just so pretty there! It seems much more elaborate than anything Disney here. The water show was amazing, I loved the floats. I think I would have taken a million pictures on that trip myself!
Yeah, we never did get over the attention to detail. I guess that's what you get when you spend more money than has ever been spent on any theme park EVER!
I'll have to look for good deals on passporter around here. I checked online. Amazon.ca don't have any now. And from the passporter website, the shipping is a bit expensive.
Dang! I hope Amazon.ca gets it back in, cuz it sounds like that's your best bet for cheap shipping.
Your comment about the shirt says it's identical to what you can purchase in the US parks. Did you mean I can purchase a Tokyo Disney shirt at WDW? And I where a xxl. Is it possible to find a TDR shirt in my size? Also love the water show pics. Do you ever put down the camera to just enjoy what you're looking at?
Yes, I put it down when my husband is nearby to pick it up and do all the shooting.

You can't get a Tokyo
Disneyland sweatshirt in the States, but you can get one that looks just like it that says Disneyland or Walt Disney World on it.
I think it's s'posed to be his hat...
Just found your TR the other day and have been reading through them. They are wonderful and a great way to keep me occupied until our trip to DL in July. The photos are fantastic and I love the way you describe your adventures. Definitely looking forward to more. Someday would love to take my daughter to the TDL but so worried about me and being able to eat. Serious food allergies so no seafood or treenuts. Not being able to convey that scares me.
That IS scary. I think people who don't *like* seafood could get by in Japan, but you'd have to be awfully careful if you really can't touch it at all. Maybe one of the language-instruction companies has come up with some kind of phrase book or picture guide for people with allergies, though.
Again, I am LOVING the merchandise. I saw some Japanese girls wearing those big bows in AK last year- I was seriously jealous!
I was thinking about trying that with my Tokyo Disney merchI mean, wearing it at WDW or Disneyland. I'm still not convinced one could get away with the Donald/Boo stuffed toy clipped to the head, though.
Your updates are so thorough, I can almost feel the humidity and smell the Japan smells!
What a great compliment! That's what I hope to convey, somewhere among all the minutiae...
Hmm. I think I'm going to have to re-think my plans (and budget) for my first trip to Tokyo next year. Based on your pictures, I think I'm going to spend the majority of my time eating desserts.

You've got that right!
another great installment! Carrie OMG those desserts at the buffet were making me drool LOL! That show looks so awesome! What a great day.
Yeah, I loved the presentation of the desserts, too! The attention to detail extends even there...
I am playing catch-up but had to stop at this point. This is EXACTLY how I felt the first time I went to WDW's MK in 1998. I was raised at DL, so I know it like my own backyard. The pathway to the Castle isn't direct at WDW, so I told my boyfriend (we got engaged on that trip!) that I felt like I was in another world.

So you understand! I'm finally getting used to the Magic Kingdom after all these trips, but Tokyo merits another dozen tries!
Fantastic update! That was some piece of toast -- almost makes up for the stingy serving of syrup (I need to drown my pancakes in syrup, really they're just a vessel for the syrup).
My thoughts exactly! Also, I once knew a guy who insisted fries were merely a vehicle for catsup, and I can see where he's coming from. For me, it's all about the condiments...
Awesome friggin' update! I can't WAIT (but, I will...) for more of your trip! Everything looks so neat. The Ambassador looks gorgeous (I picked the right pin at DLRP!)
Totally! Patrick
loves his Hotel New York pin. I just wish the architecture of that hotel was the same Deco style as the pin. Not a fan of the Michael Graves look....
