Has anyone been to Tokyo Dining lately? I am planning on having lunch for 1 there next week.

Is there a lunch menu?
How is it just for one person?

I last went in May this year and had a fabulous lunch, I'm now a huge fan :goodvibes

I'm returning next year 'solo', I'd have no hesitation eating there solo (or really anywhere else for that matter), there were quite a few other solos dining there when I ate in May, and the restaurant had a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere - a far cry from Teppan just down the hallway ;)

I was just there on Saturday. They do have a lunch menu. They also have a pick 3 for $24.99 which includes appetizer, entree and dessert. There are a number of items to choose from. DH had tempura shrimp and scallops and I had tempura shrimp and chicken. DH said the scallops melted in his mouth and I have to say that happened with the chicken. It was really good. The entree came with tempura veggies, white rice and seaweed salad. We each got miso soup for our appetizer and I got the ginger cake for my dessert and DH got the green tea pudding. Everything was wonderful except for the eel roll we ordered separate. It wasn't that good. Our total with tax came to $60 but that's b/c we got the eel roll too. We were even able to get seated about an hour early which was good since I wasn't feeling well that day.

I was there for dinner tues.. My son's gf likes it and she said her sushi was good. The tempura appetizer was ok, the chicken tempura was dry, tho.' I had the filet, it was the worst filet of any I had in 10 days of Disney dinning, but still ok. The veggies on the plate with it were unflavored previously frozen steamed spear of broccoli and little round carrot bits - beyond bland, nothing Japanese about them and miserable excuses for veggie sides. The atmosphere is pleasant and if you stick with more Japanese entrees you'll probably enjoy it, just don't expect much if you order an 'american' entree. The green tea desert is yummy.

We have a late lunch at Tokyo Dining on our arrival day, almost every trip(last there in October). Love the sushi, atmosphere, and service. Enjoy!!
