Token from 1/2 Marathon

I am still getting tokens from the 1/2. This morning one of my toe nails came off. It had really gotten on my nerves the past couple of days. I have another one to go.

I put ointment and a bandaid on it, is there anything else I need to do or will the new one just continue to grow. I didn't know if I needed to worry about infection or anything.

You can tell I'm new at all of this. I've never lost a nail. I have learned how to deal with blisters, still learning two months after the 1/2.

Hi Tammy,

I lost one too and have my big tonail that I can tell will come off soon. Basically on the one that allready fell off a semi nail is growing. I heard that a semi nail grows before the "real" nail grows. Its not as hard as a real nail, but a softish/hardish covering.

I have had no problems with infection at all.

My toenail on my big toe is dead. It has a hollow sound. Its no longer a living part of my toe anymore and you can definately hear a difference when you tap on the living one versus the dead one. Thank goodness the pain goes away after it dies. It was so painful in Florida. The day I went home, I could barely put pressure on my big toe.

Sorry about your "reward" and WISH there was some advice I could offer but alas I've got none.

I'm thinking as has been discussed somewhere around these threads as long as it's not leaking, it should renew as things do.
