requested tokelua longhouse for my poly stay and was wondering if anyone has stayed there lately, has it been redone , how did you like the location, view, etc, any info would be great thanks

we had the Tokelua on our last stay at the Polyn - it was nice - but I got spoiled on the stay before that we stayed in Tahiti - had a lagoon view - could see the fireworks and the EWP from our room - it was WONDERFUL!!!!

Tokelau had some minor rehab done in 2002 but has not gone through the rehab/ construction that the other older longhouses have in the last 2 years. That being said, the newer construction (Tahiti, Rapa Nui and Tokelau) do not have the same problem the older longhouses had with the foundations so they are not in need of the same repair as the older longhouses were. I have had messages from many that have stayed in Tokelau over the last year and they were very happy with the room, view and condition. If you don’t want to spend the money on concierge or a lagoon view I think Tokelau is a great choice.

I stayed in Tokelau in August, and it was great. The room was spacious, clean, and showed no signs of wear. We were in room 1910 on the ground level. Although it is technically a garden view room, we had a view of the lagoon and the Grand Floridian. We had the most wonderful maid, Ada, who was very attentive to our needs throughout our stay.

We felt that Tokelau was an ideal location because of its central location. It was less than five minutes to walk to the TTC, boat dock, and GCH. My sister and her family stayed there the following week, and requested Tokelau as well, and were quite pleased with the location.

We also were at Tokelau in August. In fact, we were in 2908, above and to the side of Karen. We liked it also. Our view was not as nice as hers, but it still wasn't bad. We looked right at the construction going on at Hawaii. But, still could see the lagoon and a bit of GF. We would stay there again in a heart beat. This longhouse is really very convenient to everything. Have a great time.
