Anybody stay here recently? How was your experience Good, Bad, indifferent?

Would love to hear all about it, I requested this longhouse for our upcoming trip.

Thanks Dave

I stayed there in 2002 and really enjoyed it. I had room # 1913 and had an amazing view. Although it is considered a "garden" room, it had a view of the lagoon and the Grand Floridian. Beautiful to look out at in the morning! Very quick walk to the quiet pool and not a bad walk to the main pool, main building & monorail.

We stayed there in 8/03 and liked it. We were on the quiet pool side, facing the Hawaii longhouse. That was the only drawback for us. At the time Hawaii was undergoing some rehab. But, we could see the lagoon from our balcony and see the GF off in the distance. It was a quick walk to the MCH and Volcano Pool. And a quick walk over to the TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot via a very nice and well marked pathway!!

I stayed there this month. Here's link to my review:

I forgot to take pictures from my room

If you don't like the room you get, tell them you want to change. We didn't like ours at first and we went and looked at room numbers we wanted and specifically asked for those and we got it. The resort was also not full so I'm not sure what difference that made.

Have fun!

I stayed in Tokelau as well, and thought it was an ideal location. It was a quick walk to the Volocano Pool, Great Ceremonial House, bus stop, and boat dock. It was maybe 7-10 minutes to the Ticket and Transportation Center. We were in room 1910 if memory serves me correctly (one room over and one room below Goofy4Tink for part of my stay--dang noisy neighbor that Goofy4Tink), and we had a view of the lagoon and the Grand Floridian. My sister stayed there the week after us in Tokelau, and she loved it as well. Very convienent.

We stayed there in October and thought it was a great room. We had a first floor room with a view of the lagoon, Comtemporary, and monorail in the distance. I would definitely stay there again. Plus, my youngest loves ducks and we had some ducks that came to visit outside our room every day.

We stayed in room 3943 in Sept. and had a great view of the quiet pool area which I thought was even better than the lagoon view. The building has the perfect location, being in the middle of the GCH and the path to the TTC. We requested the same room for our next trip as well.

We stayed there in Aug. 2003 and had a garden view, but if you walked out onto the balcony and turned to the right, you could see the lagoon, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately I don't have as great a memory as some of my fellow dis'ers, so I can't tell you what room I was in.
I also felt it was centrally located to everything. We had a great time and would love to stay there again.

Stayed there last August and agree that the location is GREAT! It's close to GCH and Volcano Pool, as well as a very short walk to the TTC which we really appreciated. Not far at all to the bus stop as well as laundry and Neverland Club. All rooms will have patio or balcony as well. We faced the Quiet Pool and even when the pool was filled (as it often was) we didn't hear noise from it in our room. I'd stay there again....
Have fun!!
