Toiletries offered at DL Resorts

I do search this stuff, honestly! I do! There are new toiletries offered at the WDW resorts (H2O) such as shampoo, conditioner and soaps, etc. What kind of things are available at the DLR hotels? The reason I ask is that I need to know if I need to bring our own stuff or not!

Looking at my stash of hotel toiletries, they provide (pph,dlh&gch)bar of facial soap, (pph, dlh, & gch)hand & body lotion, (PPH & DLH) combo shampoo & coditioner, (GCH) shampoo, (GCH) conditioner, (GCH) bar of body cleanser, (pph,dlh&gch) shower caps. The hotel gift shops also sell other toilettries and medications(tylenol,etc)

Unless you are staying at the GCH, bring your own stuff. I think it is ridiculous that, given the high rates at particularly DLH, they provide such poor quality toiletry amenities.

I really liked what they had at GCH. But there isn't anything on the packaging to indicate what the brand is.

Is it in the traditional black packaging with the red top (shampoo) and it is kind of orangy? The reason why I am asking is that I do not plan on checking luggage and with the liquids restrictions it makes it harder to carry shampoo. However, I hate the stuff that makes hair like straw. There is new H2O spa shampoo at WDW and it is blue and pearly and is waaaaay much nicer than the old orange stuff. I agree that with the $ that you pay for the Disney hotels, that nicer toiletries would be nice. I think that they took that feedback in WDW and upgraded, but wondered if they did it as well in CA.

DLH had the orangy stuff as of a few weeks ago. I think your best bet might be to buy some shampoo and conditioner at the airport when you arrive most airports have a Body Shop or a Bath and Body Works or something similar. I don't think I could rely on that ity bitty bottle of shampoo and conditioner that is in the room.

I just spent the night at the GCH last Sunday and the toiletries were H20 products.

Thanks, Sleeping Becca, Bath & Body Works at the airport is a great idea....
I like the H20 products and that is great that is it now offered at the GCH...we will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel, and I wish they would have it there too. Sheesh, it's not like $245/night is like a bargain basement hotel or anything! A girl just wants her hair to feel loved! (And there's 3 of us girls!)

Why not pack a good brand of shampoo and conditioner in the little trial sizes? Or, use your favorite brand from home and fill up a trial size bottle? You should be able to have these in your carry one bags, so long as you are packing a total of 3 ounces or less and they all fit in a one quart ziploc bag.
