Hello there...

I am getting ready to start my "pre-packing" for our January 15th departure to Universal... we are a family of 4 and we will be spending 6 wonderful nights at the Hard Rock Hotel staying on the Club Level floor. It is our first family vacation in 3 years and our first time ever staying club level anywhere. To say we are excited would be quite the understatement!

SO... what can I expect in the way of room amenities and toiletries? I'm curious to know what kind of shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotions they provide and wondering if I will like it or if I should just bring some myself (I'm not an expensive/salon shampoo girl, I typically buy Dove products, occasionally splurge on a salon brand but not often).

Also, is there a hairdryer in the room... and is it a hair DRYER or does it blow a nice breeze across your head? There is nothing worse than a bad hairdryer on vacation. Well, there are a lot of things worse, but when your family of MALES are tapping their feet waiting for the only (pretty much low maintenance) female to get ready... it can get ugly. A good hairdryer is essential!

And lastly... I think I read somewhere that they provide robes in the club level rooms? Can anyone confirm this? With the 4 of us in one room (oh how I wish I could spring for a suite or two rooms connected...) I need to have a robe for myself while I get showered and dressed and my DS12 also has a thing for his robe at night over his jammies. If they don't provide them, that is fine, we will bring ours from home, I am just trying to pack the least amount of stuff I can.

TIA

Yes, there is a good blow dryer.

Toiletries are from Rock Spa.

Did my wife pay you to post this knowing full well I would read it this morning over coffee?

I have been reminded almost daily from her about the hairdryer at Portifino Bay NOT being nearly adequate on last years vacation! I would not let her bring hers from home as we were out of room, BIG MISTAKE!

We leave for HRH in 4 days, her hairdryer is coming along this time. I am going to make sure it has a nice cushy spot in the suitcase so it does not get damaged. Never again will I come between a woman and her hairdryer.

HA!! No, she did not pay me to post that, but I suspect it is a common theme among women who rely on a hair dryer. I think I will be bringing mine just to be sure that I don't run into that problem!

Enjoy your vacation!

Honestly the hair dryers at the HRH are legit big hair dryers. They hang them in a bag on the back of the bathroom door. Don't waste space in your bag.

I go down a couple of times a year and stay there every time. We have not had one issue with the hair dryers. This is a Lowes property, most everything on the property is premium grade.

I agree. I think they are Conair Ionic hairdryers and they throw a lot of air and heat. They aren't the standard hotel hair dryers that are part of a wall unit. They are the normal hair dryers that you have at home.

Woo Hoo... that is great to hear that they are good hair dryers, thank you! That will save me some room in my bag. Now if I could only figure out what to wear....
