I have been reading through threads in preparation for making my ADRs is a week or so. I'm reading a lot about vegetarian options going away in a lot of restaurants. I am not really vegetarian, but I only eat 1-2 servings a week of meat. So I need to plan around my preferences, and those of the other 5 carnivores in my family. I read that some places will offer to replace the listed proteins for tofu. I think The Wave was mentioned specifically. Are there others?

We've gotten tofu at Sunshine Seasons food court at The Land in Epcot at the Asian station.

You can also go to Allears.net and type tofu in their search box. The returns will link to menus that specifically offer tofu. I'm pretty sure the quick service places with build your salads on them at the resorts have a tofu as a protein option.

I don't know about places replacing protein with tofu, partially because I don't really care for tofu.

However, I can vouch for that noodle bowl at the Brown Derby. It's delicious. It's a big bowl with some kind of spicy broth, loads of noodles and a block of coconut crusted tofu. Again, I don't really care for tofu, but that tofu is GOOD.

Citricos also has a tofu dish that I have seen rave reviews for. Menu here: http://allears.net/dining/menu/citricos/dinner

There are several locations that offer Gardein products. I *think* Sunshine Seasons is one of them and the American pavilion in Epcot is another.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm not so worried about strictly vegetarian as I am not having meat as the main part of the entree. If it's made with a beef broth, or something along those line, I am ok with that. I do occasionally eat meat anyway.

In that case, you should have no trouble at all. Every restaurant has at least one or two vegetarian options. If not, at the sit down restaurants for sure and even at many counter service places, they will be happy to modify something for you.

When is your trip? I only ask because if it's during the time of Food and Wine Festival, there was a vegan booth that had outstanding dishes made with Gardein products. My carnivore husband and daughter even loved them. It actually prompted me to buy a Gardein product for the first time when I got home. So, on the off chance this is when you're going, be sure to swing by that booth.

Below is a link to a review of the offerings at the festival. Warning: It will make you hungry.

Several CS locations also offer veggie burgers. I know in MK, Cosmic Ray and Peco's Bill have them. In DHS, the place on Sunset Blvd. has them. Not sure about Epcot or AK. Tangerine Cafe in Morocco has a nice vegetarian platter with falafel, hummus, etc.

I've done 3 trips as a strict vegan experience and had no issues finding good meals at almost all the table service restaurants including Hoop de Doo.

Coral Reef is also one of those restaurants that serves Gardein products in their veg dish. It is excellent
