TofT and RR Coaster Rehabs

For those of you who have the real inside contacts...can you try and answer the following:

1. Where do you get the info?
2. Are these rides going to be closed at the same time according to your info?
3. Is TofT going to be totally shut or just part at a time?
4. What are the dates you are hearing? When will they offically be posted?
5. How reliable is your source...is it someone who actually works at the ride...rehab area or just a general CM that might have heard a rumor?

Thanks for any info...there are so many different threads out there with conflicting info and I am getting confused trying to piece everything together. We finally all got the Big Thunder straightened out...also know about Swiss Family Robinson (no biggie there).

It is highly unlikely that both main attractions at MGM Studios will be closed for rehab at the same time. They are a huge draw for that park, and it would be a PR nightmare.

Although I have heard that ToT will be down the end of September, and only running at 1/2 capacity for the beginning of October, I have not heard anything about when the RnR rehab will be.

Usually the info comes from those who are privy to that information, or on other sites. Some is rumor, but sometimes there is basis in that rumor. I wouldn't worry about it, until you hear something official.

You can call the parks about a couple of weeks prior to your trip and they will be able to let you know what attractions will be closed during the time you will be there. We did that in 1993, and it saved us being disappointed that BTMRR would be closed. Once we knew, we had time to adapt and make our plans accordingly.

From MGMStudios.Org who works at the Studios as a CM for the Tower & Fantasmic.

No, RnR before ToT and then will re-open just before ToT closes.

All the dates are at http://www.mgmstudios.org/rehab.html As to when they will be posted, it's a good guess but sooner or later

As I said, the CM works at the Studios and at the Tower. All the info comes from the CM schedule and so far the CM has been 100% accurate.
