Okay, your second toe, the one beside your big toe, is it supposed to be longer than your big toe, or shorter? If it's shorter, is that considered an aberattion of nature?

Is toe length important? Is your big toe your longest toe?

Time to fess up.......

My second toes are shorter than my big toes, and I'm concerned that might not be normal....

Well, the one on the left foot is shorter and the one on the right foot is almost the same. Wonder if breaking the 2nd and 3rd toes a year ago shortened them??

My second toe is shorter than my big toe. I think this is perfectly normal. My kids take after their father. All of them have a longer second toe. I'm the odd-man-out, but I still think my way is best. LOL!

My 2nd toe on either foot is longer than the big toe. My Mom always told me it was the sign of intelligence so I had to work X-tra hard in school to live up to my.........er um.......my toes!!!

My second toe is a tiny fraction longer thatn my big toe. There's an old wives tale that if that second toe is longer, you will be the one who rules in your house.

There are actual classifications for feet with different toe lengths. Feet with the second toe as the longest are called Greek or Morton's Feet. Those with the big toe as the longest are called Egyptian Feet and those with 2 or 3 toes of the same length are called Giselle or Peasant Feet.

I don't know what is worse.. that there are classifications for this type of thing or that I took the time to look it up..lol

My DH will tell you this isn't the case in our house. My second toe is definately shorter but we know who rules in this house!!

LOL! I had no idea there were actual classifications for toe lenghts!

Well, I guess I'm in the Peasant class. My toes start with my big toe and then each toe after is slightly shorter than the one before.

What about what your toes do while you are standing? Mine lay flat and sort of bend inward at the joint, like they are double jointed. My kids and my husbands arch or curl. Does this make sense?

Hmmm...I think we need some clarification of the classifications. Kirby, I think you have Egyptian feet, but as far as the standing toe tricks go, I don't know what to say....mine just kind of lie there....

That's what I have always heard too! It's true in my house!

I didn't know there were this many people out there with the second toe longer. I always thought my sister and me were weird.

My toes decrease in length successively. I think that the majority of people have a longer or same length second toe. I'll look for stats

My second toes are slightly longer then my big toe, then the next two toes are a little shorter than the one before it, but my little toe is like way down there!
