aside from Kidcot, any suggestions for keeping a very mobile 1.5 year old entertained in world showcase? thanks!

The kids I see around always love the train set in Germany. It's right off the path so don't have to go far for it

Let the explore the countries. They are too young for Agent P but just letting them walk around and look at everything can be very entertaining at that age. There are also shows in several countries through out the day that are out in the open that they may enjoy.

Of course time of year dictates how much open space your little one will have. Food and Wine can be very cramped and crowded so may not want a toddler to walk around then.

I totally agree. We went in the evenings our first year trying food and wine - oops! That was a bit nightmarish with a toddler.

I will be completely honest my kids were never really into world showcase much at that age - we spent a TON of time in the Nemo section then.

we always love the playgrounds they put up at F&W and F & G. It does get crowded esp on the weekends, but there are often more things to do in WS at that time.

Oh I totally forgot about the playgrounds. I love the apple sauce one and often stop by to get a pack of apple sauce.

coloring and collecting a duffy in each country. squirrel and bird watching!! taking the boat across the way.. or as I noticed many parents do, shove an Ipad in their face

My twins were 22 months for their first trip. At WS they loved the 2 rides, all of the musicians and bands, Sergio (I think it was the same show then), and the Chinese Acrobats. I'm sure they would have enjoyed the Japanese drummers as well, but we didn't catch them until the next trip.

Yes my 4 y/o absolutely loves the train display every time we go (we have gone since he was 2 y/o) as well as the acrobats and the guy that climbs up the chairs in France.

Hmm maybe the one I'm thinking of that is sponsored by Mott's is flower and garden only.

As far as I know it's only at F&G. We love them, but I've looked all over the F&W information every year and have never seen playgrounds listed.

My toddlers have always just done what we've wanted to do. Grab an ice cream in Italy, watch the movie in France, watch the show in the American pavilion, ride the Mexico ride, catch a few songs from a random band, etc. I avoid most of the stores--they have been too grabby and I don't usually feel like buying them stuff. I figure that the whole trip is mostly catered to them, we can take a couple hours to do the stuff I want to do in WS. They are never bored and always just enjoy it--it's more fun than most stuff we have at home!

The playground is always over by test track and mouse gears.

Don't forget there are meet and greets in the world show case too. Alice, Belle, Snow White, Mulan, the frozen sisters and others I'm sure I'm missing. My tot always loved meeting the face characters. They weren't intimidating and make a usually huge fuss on the little ones.

Now that pooh bear left, there's nothing after Norway, in my opinion. My daughter was always super bored in world showcase. We only go for a couple hours max and mainly for Pooh and Tigger and now we will go to the left side for Frozen and the mexico boat ride/Donald. After that, there is literally nothing my toddler likes.

Some people may say their kids love it, but if very mobile means wants to be constantly entertained while at Disney then world showcase = BORING. Kid cot is mainly crafts too so I wouldn't count on that to keep a 1.5 year old entertained.

My daughter also enjoys the drum area in Africa.

My young children have never enjoyed World Showcase. It typically ends up being frustrating for us as well because everyone looks so relaxed grabbing drinks, etc. and we can't even do that because our hands are full pushing strollers and chasing toddlers. In years past, we have done the Akershus breakfast and then just walked around the worlds without stopping much. My kids like the little train near Germany, and that does usually give me a chance to grab some caramels and shop the Christmas store. We did the boat ride in Mexico once, and that was fine, but not a huge hit for anyone in our family. Other than that, we just walk through, stopping for characters if the kids see one they're interested in. Epcot has always been a half-day park for us. My kids are now 8, 6, and 2.

That being said, we are planning a trip for next February, and I'm planning to *try* to spend a little more time in World Showcase now that they're getting a bit older. We are planning to do Frozen Ever After, lunch at Via Napoli, trains / caramels in Germany, pick a pearl in Japan, dessert in France, and the maze in UK. I think we will probably spend 2-3 hours there, which is more than we've ever been able to do.
