Toddler's bedroom - princess theme

Last year for DD birthday we surprised her with a princess bedroom. We got a canopy that fiit over her bed from Bed Bath and Beyond. It was only about thirty dollars. We got her some pretty curtains that are ribbon sheers with flowers on them. Also from Bed Bath and Beyond. We also got her princess like bedding. We put a couple of princess posters up in her room. We had painted it the year before yellow with some butterflies and flowers. :flower:

My daughters room started out being a garden like room. A real picket fence, bird houses w/ a laudry line w/ her baby clothes hung. Her bedspread is floral. I made it princess by making pillows and ironing on appliques of the princess'. I put doilies under them to sweeten the look. It is really cute! It also is changable, as she grows. I also did a poster framed of all of the princess'.

I thought I'd give you all an update on how the room is coming along thanks to all of your great suggestions. First a funny story. We just got back from WDW last week. All my DD could talk about before we went was how she wanted to hug Cinderella. So we wait in line at Toontown for 45 minutes. She's a bit tentative with Snow White. Then when it comes to Cinderella, she won't go anywhere near her!!! She starts bawling. I had the plan to take a picture and enlarge it for her room. So, this is the best part, mom, in her pregnancy induced hormonal surge, begins to bawl as well!! They must have thought I was nuts. I know my husband wanted to find the nearest psych hospital. :rotfl: Anyhow, this is what we've done with the room. I got pink and purple bedding with hearts on it from Sears and sheer purple curtains from Ikea. We got her the Cinderella vanity mirror for Christmas and we put up large princess wall stickers from Home Depot. I'm going to frame her Donald Duck picture in her princess frame since I don't have a Cinderella picture...... I'm going to buy a canopy from Sears as well. Since nothing is permanent, we'll easily be able to change it. Will keep you posted if I add anything else. :flower:

I know this has nothing to do with princesses, but since I just learned how to post pictures, I thought I'd post a picture of my boy's spiderman room.

It's fun to decorate them isn't it? This picture doesn't really show the dressers which I painted fire engine red.

Here's another picture, more recent of the room...I changed the curtains since the first one. This one shows the other side of the room with the dresser. There is a Spiderman tent that they got for Christmas set up behind the dresser.
