Toddler Snacks in Parks

We will be going to Walt Disney World (WDW) with our 20-month-old next month, and I'm trying to determine how many snacks we should bring from home (or buy at Publix) versus relying on what’s available in the parks and resorts. Since toddlers can be particular about food, I want to ensure we have a good supply of snacks on hand just in case. My daughter enjoys snacks like puffs, applesauce pouches, and cheese sticks. How frequently have you seen these types of snacks, along with other toddler-friendly options, available in the parks and at resort stores?

It honestly depends where you are staying - I’ve found actual WDW resorts do not have a ton of options for toddlers. They’ll all have something but you won’t find a variety. The Swan/Dolphin was a bit better…the parks themselves not so much. And whatever is there is obscenely expensive (except oddly applesauce pouches 🤷‍♀️)

I would bring enough from Publix or do an order when you arrive.

I would also not assume all quick service or sit down restaurants will have food they like. I have 2 picky littles and I look up menus ahead of time after I was shocked on my first trip

Solid advice from everybody here. We're team have your own. We drive rather than fly but Publix is easy and it's just so much less stress to have your own. Not having to wait, or worry what's on the menu, just being able to feed them whenever...

We always bring a lot of snacks for our toddler. She’s not particularly picky but she does get more easily distracted and overstimulated in restaurants at Disney so doesn’t always eat as much as normal, we find she does more snacking than meals some days when we’re there. Especially character meals. She’s still free, luckily, because while she’ll have a ton of food on her plate that, in theory, she enjoys she just can’t take her eyes off the characters long enough to actually eat it!

Another vote for bringing your own snacks. You never know where you will be when they get hungry, so it's good to have snacks on you and ready when they are.

Also, bring ziploc bags for leftovers so they don't make a mess in your bag. :)
