Toddler Naps...did it work for you?

We took ds age 5. Everyday between 2 and 3 we would come back for a nap. He was always tired as we were too. Worked out well, we would get ready and have ps for dinner around 5. Then he was ready for the evening.

When we went this summer with 4 year old & 18 month old, they never went to sleep :sad2: . I think I needed the rest more than them. I would still plan on coming back for a nap because otherwise I would get to worn out.

We took DD for the 1st time on her 2nd birthday...while she is an avid napper at home, she will not nap if she is not in a familiar surrounding.....so by bedtime she becomes a terror! We have gone to Disney every month since her birthday (Aug) and the same scenario occurs. Sometimes she will doze off for awhile in her stroller, but not for long. Even if we go back to the room...she will run around and jump on the beds, but never fall asleep. Hopefully she will grow out of this soon!
