Ok this is not a WDW questions but I am really frustrated at the moment. I have been shopping for the last two weekends and cannot find ANY jeans to fit my DD2. Every pair I try is too tight in the stomach - but yet gap open in the back. The 24months from Childrens Place fit great in the stomach - elastic waist, but are getting too short. 3T are too long. She is not chunkier than other two years olds so I don't get it. I give up!! Tried GAP, Old Navy, Carter, etc. ANy other moms out there have this problem? Any suggestions?

Yup! My DD3 is in a 4T because of her height (39 inches), but the problem we are having is that they are cut so tight across the front you can't button them. I had to return a bunch she got for her birthday. THe best ones I bought were for $4.50 each at Walmart. A little big in the waist (we are PTing), but they look cute and do the job!

Good Luck!

Have you tried Gymboree? They work well for my 2 yr old. My friend has a very hard to fit toddler, and she swears by Nordstroms own brand, and she went to Burlington Coat Factory and said she picked up several pairs of Bongo jeans that fit her daughter.

Okay, I know this will be a odd statement, but I hate jeans on toddlers. They never fit right, they are either to long and baggie or to tight. They make most jeans to fit toddlers like they have adult bodies and they don't. Now when my son (11) was younger I did the Gap jeans, my husband liked them. But When I had my girls I never put them in jeans. My oldest was 5 before I did jeans and my youngest is 3 and she has never warn a pair. I know what your saying about them. I would stick to leggings, jumpers, alines w/ tights. rompers. I know my husband thinks I'm weird to.

You need to find jeans that have an INTERNAL adjustable waistband (elastic with button holes). Carter's makes them, but all Carter's jeans do NOT have this feature. Some Gap jeans also have it, but you have to look inside the waistband. These are the only types of jeans that fit my DS (3). I generally skip jeans for him and put him in windbreaker type lined pants and heavy sweatpants in the colder months. They are more comfy for him and easier to play in.

I love the OkieDokie brand at JC Penney...they are by Osh Kosh and the waist fits my little one who has a good little belly!

We liked Land's End when DS was little. The people on the phone order line are so good at helping you get a good fit. They have them in sizes up a boys 16 or 18 and we wore them till Ds was almost a teen and stated wanting a more trendy style. They run about like gap in prices. You can get them with open or closed legs. i loved he ones with the elastic around the legs as you could get them a little long and it would still be fine.

I always bought toddler jeans at Target: the waist was elastic all the way around and it seemed to fit better.

Like an earlier poster, I am a huge fan of the adjustable waist band pants. Carters, Gap, Old Navy all carry styles that have this feature.

I never cared much about the waistband -- what I want is snap tape in the inseam. I *really* don't want to have to totally strip my child out of her shoes, socks and trousers in order to change a messy diaper.

Years ago when my niece was a baby all toddler size trousers that were sized in months had snapped inseams, but they were getting rare by the time that my son was a baby, and now I haven't seen a single pr. that I can use for my new daughter. Thank goodness I kept most of her brother's. Mostly I plan to dress her in coveralls for the colder weather. I'm going to buy a full roll of snap tape so I can retrofit trousers, but IMO I shouldn't have to.

FWIW, for older toddlers and preschoolers, my fave trousers are from Healthtex. Kohl's always has them. The waistbands always have elastic in back, and the knees are double-reinforced.

We have the adjustable waistband shorts and pants from The Children's Place. They are great!

Yep, I agree with this. It was the same way with my DS last year and his jeans. The ones I found worked really well were from the Gap, Old Navy and Gymboree.

Thanks for the ideas. I am aware of the adjustable waistband ones but they are STILL too tight on her tummy. She is not overweight - I think she is just built a bit like her mother!! Poor kid. I found some jeans from Lands End that I just ordered. They have an elastic waistband in the back and still look pretty stylish - they even came in bootcut! I ordered two pairs. I was not thrilled about paying $25.00 a pair but at this point I am willing to pay if it means that my little lady will be comfortable. I cannot wait to try them on her. Wish us luck!!!

I've had real trouble with this with my DD as well. I had some things from Janie and Jack (owned by Gymboree) that I had to take back because the pants wouldn't even meet in the front, but dresses in same size were almost too big. I mentioned it to the sales clerk and she said she thinks that when they went to the internal adjustable waistband they started slimming down the cut of the pants. I don't know if that's true, but it truly is a pain. I think Gap is even worse. Skinny jeans in a toddler size is not what I need for my girls.
