So I really love seafood. I mean really really love it.

DH could take it or leave it, and the kids, not so much.

While talking with DH I decided that I was going to have one awesome seafood dinner and don't know where to go. I have read some rave reviews about Bluezoo, but don't see many people complaining about CMC either. Just from what I've read, it seems that what you can get at CMC, you can pretty much get anywhere. We currently have a reservation for CMC, but will change in a heartbeat!

Tell me what you thought of each, or if there is another awesome seafood place in the Epcot/BW/BC/Swan/Dolphin area please let me know :)

Blue zoo and Cape May Cafe are not in the same category at all.

If you want an excellent dining experience and great food, Blue Zoo.

A buffet with decent food, CMC.

bluezoo is our go-to adult dinner spot. Except for V&A, it's our favorite spot to dine at WDW. Very quiet, elegant, excellent drink menu with skilled mixologists, amazing service and plating, high quality seafood. Dinner usually takes us about 3 hours and we make an evening out of it. Their non-fish selections are pretty limited and for some people, there might be sticker shock at the price.

Cape May is family dining, a buffet. It's a decent enough place if you are looking to fill up on all you can eat crab legs but it's not a dining event. It is quieter than most of the WDW buffets.

If you are looking for something in between these two, I would recommend Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. It's more casual and family friendly than bluezoo but it's more upscale than Cape May Cafe.

Cape May Clambake is the best - the clam chowder is better that anything we have ever had in coastal Maine - the other seafood dishes are outstanding, and for the non-seafood eaters there is plenty to choose from. It is our must "go to" restaurant each time we go to WDW (most times twice :)). I'd say you would not regret it - everyone we have recommended it to has loved it.

As pp's mentioned, these two places are very different.

Cape May is a casual family buffet with simple, traditional seafood.

bluezoo is am upscale fine dining experience with more unusual and innovative flavors.

I have not been to Cape May for dinner.

bluezoo was absolutely amazing. I've lived in FL for 26 years, so I have regular access to seafood. bluezoo was the best seafood I've ever eaten in FL and among some of the very top dining experiences I've ever had.

I'd highly suggest checking out menus because these are two places that you can't really compare.

Thank you everyone. CBG I definitely checked out the menus and saw that there didn't seem to be a comparison...I guess I just needed some confirmation on that. Definitely sounds like Bluezoo is what I'm looking for. I think maybe I will look at reserving it for just DH and myself and utilizing their childcare for the evening :)

We ate at Blue Zoo for the first time Saturday evening. My DH is a fish and seafood lover; I will eat some seafood, but am really a meat eater. He chose the signature dancing fish for his entree and loved it. The service and presentation here is really lovely. But we've also had wonderful meals at the Flying Fish which is a bit less upscale.
