Todays tourist £/$ is $1.33 !!!

Oh dear. Fairfx is now 1.34. Fairfx was 4 cents higher than the OP yesterday, so does that mean Today's Tourist is now 1.30??? :S

Todays rate at Marks and Spencer (where I got yesterdays rate) is $1.32

I think it is going to get worse. I am going to buy today as can't afford to lose any more money.

I remember back in 1982/3 my folks got $2 to the £ then in '84, it was around $1.25. :sad2:

However, seeing the current state of affairs, it makes me sooo glad that we went way overboard last year and bought too much $$$!!!:lmao: We actually have enough $ to cover us for our trip in April, but hopefully the exchange rate will have improved before our cruise in 2010 or we won't be doing anything except staying on the ship. :guilty:

I don't feel very optimistic, I don't think the £ has hit its worse yet.:sad2:

i agree i think it will get worse still as we have just announced we are in recession! and if they cut the rates next month and then flood with moer money it will go down.

Luckily i have everything paid in sterling and have free dining so in thoery dont need spending money

I think we will be eating counter service alot in april. I am glad I booked POP with Disney UK now though.

Strange, it has gone slightly up on Fairfx to 1.3475. Only miniscule but I didn't expect it to rise at all. Probably be 1.30 tomorrow :S

Tis a bit grim, looks like there won't be any shopping being done this October! I guess a lot could happen between now and then, 1.50 would be nice.

We were so lucky that we paid off everything last year when the rate was still good.

All we have left to pay for really is food and drink plus any spending money.

Its not ideal but right now im just thankful im in a position where im able to go at all.:)

Bit the bullet today and ordered our universal tickets (two park bonus). Was intending to get from Dreams for the $94.99 plus tax but had a look at Virgin holidays who had thiers at £70 each so with the VA FC discount was the equalivant of buying them at $94.99 with a exchange rate of $1.51.

Yesterday I thought it would go up today .......I bought some $ yesterday :rotfl2:

yeah that did cross my mind, I can work on a commission basis if that help:rotfl:

I don't usually get much cash and certaily not this early (going mid May) but thought I would buy some now to help manage the potential risk.
