Today would have been Elvis Presleys 75th Birthday

Today the King would have been 75. He was only 42 when he passed but he was such a great entertainer. I went to Graceland and loved it. My favorite Elvis song was "Can't help falling in love with you".

I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich for breakfast in his honor! And I'm not kidding!

I grew up on Elvis. As a kid I spent a big chunk of time with my uncle. He introduced me to Elvis' music and movies, and once we even went to a traveling Elvis exhibit that showcased some of his concert outfits, scarves, belt buckles, etc. It was really cool, and there was a talented Elvis impersonator there.

I'm 26 now, but I still love Elvis. DW bought me some gorgeous black and white Elvis prints that hang on our front hall - there is a great one of Elvis standing at the gates of Graceland smiling. It's my favorite. We named our cat after the King.

I have yet to go to visit Graceland, but one day. My favorite movie is It Happened At the World's Fair, and my favorite song...well, that is a bit harder, but I'm going to go with Burning Love. DW would say Jailhouse Rock.
