Today was so much fun! i feel sick

I'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out by an oral surgon!!! WHOOHOO! Doesn't that sound fun!

Seriously this sucks i hate docters and dentist the only I get anxious when they change the wire in my braces even if i go to a doc or dentist when its someone else oppointment i still get all freaked out and want to leave.
I freak out even more at needles and last time they tried to put me to sleep they kept having to do it over and over and over and over because they could not find a vein!
They are subpost to give me like volume or whatever its called idk if it will work.

I know it seems silly but i start or all most start crying just thinking about being poked with a needle tomarrow

Don't worry and fret too much.

I had all four wisdom teeth out years ago.

I was in the chair, I guess I got a shot to knock me out, I don't remember.

Next thing I knew, I was lying down in another room and my mother was standing over me. She rather impatiently said, "can we go now?" I don't have a clue how I got from the dental chair to the recovery room. I didn't feel a thing!

Relax and get some sleep.

I had my top 2 taken out today! I decided to leave the bottom 2 in until they cause problems.

I was really nervous about being put to sleep. They couldn't get an IV in my left arm(probably b/c they wouldn't let me eat or drink overnight and my appointment wasn't until 10:30 am!) but they got it easily in my right arm. I didn't like having the oxygen thing over my nose at all - I am claustrophobic... But once they put the medicine in the IV, I felt a little weird right away and was out within 10 seconds. No exaggeration. The next thing I knew, I was sitting on a table in the recovery room talking to my hubby. I have no idea how I got there!

I slept the whole way home and took a 4 hour nap this afternoon. My cheeks are a little swollen and stiff, but I don't have any pain(and haven't taken any pain meds). I'm tired of eating boring food though. Today was soft cold food and tomorrow is soft warm food.

Now, it's time to go take my antibiotic and fill my mouth back up with gauze before bed. Good luck- you'll be fine!

It's so much easier now than when I had it done 15 years ago.

My son had his out this summer. He got all the meds in advance and followed all the docs instructions. He didn't turn black/blue like I did and barely had any swelling.

When they did it, he was out cold in seconds and doesn't even remember me getting him home and into bed.

He did great and I'm sure you will too.

i just got back and probably gonna pass out any second as soon as im done with my smoothie i feels so loopy! the sleepy stuff hasn't worn off yet and they give me strong drugies! and the volume stuff made me laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh until they put me to sleep

XD i just woke up i went to my parents room to get a med i had to take and my room is all the way on the other side of the house so insteed of running into all sorts of things on the way there i just crashed for a couple hours until they got home

Listen to the doctors orders! Do everything you can to avoid dry sockets, they REALLY hurt! You are young though, you should be fine. I was in bed for a week when I got mine out, the surgeon kept saying "you should have done this when you were 18" evidently 28 is over the hill for wisdom teeth extraction.
