I had a blast at Salvation Army today and got some great deals, they had a certain tag color on sale for 69c and I was able to find some new with tags items for myself.

Best deal: camel color Talbot Signature pants $89 regular price.
Also:
Ann Taylor grey slacks, beautiful, lined, never worn
Talbots red long sleeve t type shirt that has narrow white stripes, like new
Limited red with lace trim cami, new
new black tee, new white tee
White 'skimmer" capri type pants. Those are from Kohl's and still have the tag
long sleeve light blue top
Talbot sleeveless blue and white pinstripe cross front top, brand new

I had so much fun looking :woohoo: and I picked up some really great clothes for Fall and my upcoming Disney trip! So in case you didn't know about it maybe you should check out you local Salvation Army, maybe they do the 69c Sat. sale too!

WOW, you really scored! I wish we had a store like that where we live.

WOW! You got some great things at great prices. :thumbsup2

Your post has inspired me to go check out my local Salvation Army. I have one friend that swears by thrift stores and I always want to check them out, but for some reason when I go shopping, I don't think to go to places like the Salvation Army. I think I know what I'll be doing next Saturday...;)

Wow!! Great score!!! I am new to thirfting, but I LOVE the finds I get!! Nothing as great yours though!!!

You people who have great thrift shops are so lucky. I went to a few that were run by Cancer Hospitals in FL and the prices were great.
The Goodwill stores here in CT are ridiculous. They have items that were donated from Target with the clearance stickers from Target still on them. For example, a puzzle markde down at Target for $1.25 was marked $5.00 at Goodwill.
Clothing is also ridiculously marked, I looked at a pair of shorts that were the Walmart logo and they were marked $8. Their regular price at Walmart is $7.95.

If any of you go, I hope you have good luck too! I about died when I found the brand new Talbot pants..it was the thrifty trinity...good color, my size, right color tag! Cue the choir :littleangel::littleangel::littleangel:

And I agree about Goodwill, crazy stupid prices on their stuff. I never go there even on 1/2 off day. Now that I found out about the 69c Sat days I'll be going more often. My favorite place to go though will always be the Dig and Save in Madison Wis. I adore that place and have found the BEST things there, I am SO sad that I rarely get up there anymore.

And heres my Thank You to the people and stores who donate their good items so others can find them :thumbsup2 Much appreciated!

Do you have a Saint Vincent DePauls in your area? I like the Dig and Save store they run in Madison, Wi, maybe they have one around you. You'll either like it or hate it :) it can be a lot of work but I have always been rewarded for my efforts.

Amazing stuff in those big boxes they put out!

We don't have those here, but I always watch for them in other cities. They seem to be the best around.

Our local Goodwill never seems to have anything fit to wear and is always overpriced. Maybe I would have better luck in a more affluent area. I've lucked into a few church sales with some decent clothing at good prices.

I can't ever find such wonderful deals at thrift shops in my area most cost more than I pay brand new! I just wait for Talbots 90% off sale and get my tops from 2.85 to 12.95, bottoms from 11.95 to $25.50 and dresses for under $10. Winter coats are usually 19.95. For me these prices are less than what my thrift stores sell for.

Do you go regularly? Or do you just know when their sales are? I'm always getting sale emails from them but I never know which one is "the" sale.
