Watch as they might not be true deals....
I saw a watch I liked from the Deals and Steals Today...Stuhrling Ladies Diamond Swiss Bracelet Watch. With shipping $79.
Was going back and forth with it....Had in cart...expired...out of stock.
Said new stock at 9:35 so I waited and put in cart
Was reading reviews and lots said really big watch so I was still iffy
Then I find exact same watch on Amazon...$67.XX plus free shipping.
Of course I know prices listed on both sites as MSRP are over inflated BUT the fact is with searching watch is $12 less than what Today Show deal is!

I agree that you need to check and compare prices. But sometimes you CAN get really good deals from the Today show steals and deals segment. A few years ago I got a great deal on a Philosophy gift set and this year I got a great deal on luggage. I did check prices on different websites, including Amazon before I purchased from the sites advertised on steals and deals.

Anybody go without getting the insurance on the iphone. Seems so expensive and possibly unnecessary. Were you sorry you went without insurance if you did. If something happened to phone couldn't you just buy any phone and put it on your verizon contract until it runs out and then get your new phone. Like maybe a iphone 5C. Anybody know how much they are without a contract.

I agree with the exorbitant MSRP, most of that stuff you can find on eBay or Amazon for less. They count on that "HURRY BEFORE THEY'RE GONE" mentality, hoping that the few "good deals" they had previously will convince you that this one is just as good.

I've gotten a couple good deals after searching on the STEALS and DEALS...but thought I'd warn those who don't look and just rush seeing 75% off or more and grabbing before checking. I just found a different watch I like better....$80 cheaper on Amazon than Kohl's even after using all my Kohl's discounts.
Pain trying to find bargains but worth the effort if you look! :)

I totally agree with you. There have been a lot of things on the steals and deals that are not really a great bargain and there are lots of things that I don't really need.
Way to go on finding a watch that you like at a good price!
